Sw Niger Delta Forest Project
The SW/Niger Delta Forest Project is a grassroot-focused conservation initiative that was established to stem increasing rates of forest loss and prevent local extinctions of critical wildlife populations. The organization which is registered as Foundation for Sustainability for Ecosystem, Wildlife and Climate is essentially an urgent response to find lasting solutions for highly threatened ecosystems and wildlife species in regions of high human population density where there are no existing conservation footprints.

National Centre For Genetic Resources And Biotechnology Nacgrab
NACGRAB is the focal point on conservation and use of genetic resources in Nigeria. NACGRAB is under the National Biotechnology Development Agency in the Federal Ministry of Innovation Science and Technology. Our research mandate includes • Exploration, collection, identification, evaluation, characterization, storage and conservation of rich stock of both animal and plant germplasm materials. • Acquisition, maintenance, utilization, exchange and dissemination of information on genetic materials of plants, animals and microbes. • National coordination of genetic resources programme and sustainable utilization. • Fostering relationship with other national satellite genetic research centers located in Research Institutes, Universities and Polytechnics as well as other International Organizations and Centres on programmes concerning genetic resources and biotechnology application. • Coordinating the activities of the National Committee on Naming, Registration and Release of Crop Varieties, Livestock Breeds and Fisheries. • Arresting rapid erosion and loss of the country's crop and animal genetic resources caused by cultivation, urbanization rural development, grazing, desertification, pest outbreak, national catastrophes etc. • Documenting appropriately the germplasm stocks held by the Centre, research institutes and relevant organizations. The Programmes of the Centre include: • Conservation, preservation and maintenance of valuable plant and animal genetic resources, for immediate utilization and posterity. • Development of animal genetic resources (poultry, snailry, fisheries etc). • Application of tissue culture for plant conservation and overall agricultural development. • Servicing of the activities of the National Committee on Naming, Registration and Release of Crops Varieties, Livestock Breeds and Fisheries. • Networking and coordinating activities in the development of capacities in plant and animal genetic resources.

Ecophilic Scientific Research and Innovations (ESRI) is a mission-driven environmental research and conservation organisation dedicated to protecting Nigeria’s freshwater biodiversity, ecosystems, and riparian landscapes.
