Wyoming Conservation Corps
The Wyoming Conservation Corps’s mission is to promote individual development, stewardship, and education through localized national service." The WCC is a non-profit dedicated to empowering youth in conservation around Wyoming. What sets the Wyoming Conservation Corps (WCC) apart from nearly all the other conservation corps is that we provide formal university level courses as part of the crew leader’s and member’s training. In the spring, crew leaders participate in upper level undergraduate course 4950-Leadership in Natural Resource Management while our members in the summer partake in 3700-Conservation Leadership offered by the University of Wyoming as well as wilderness medical classes and a robust month of field training. The WCC takes our education component seriously and it is, in part, why our members and leaders go on to manage Wyoming and as well as other states’ natural resources. We believe that having a fully educated team working in the field makes for better work, morale, and a further interest in the projects.

Channel Islands Cetacean Research Unit
Channel Islands Cetacean Research Unit is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Santa Barbara, California. While formally organized in July 2013, the director, Michelle Kowalewski ran a similar program through the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History since 2002. During her tenure at the museum, Michelle developed a bio-surveillance program conducting thorough investigations into the mortality of whales, dolphins, and porpoises. This program produced quantitative results on toxin, bio-toxin, heavy metal, and disease burdens in the local cetacean population. CICRU continues this bio-surveillance while expanding the education and research potentials. Conservation Centers For Species Survival C2s2
Mission: Leadership in studying and creating self-sustaining populations ex situ and in situ of the world's most endangered animal species. The Conservation Centers for Species Survival (C2S2) is a group of conservation centers that collectively manage more than acres of land devoted to the survival of threatened species with special needs (including those requiring large land areas, natural group sizes and minimal public disturbance). By combining their scientific and management expertise, these centers excel in studying and creating self-sustaining populations of some of the world’s most endangered animals. Currently the six full participating facilities are the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, the Wilds and White Oak Conservation Center. Collectively, C2S2 has large, naturalistic areas that support significant-sized groups of animals that, in turn, allow for enhanced research in husbandry, reproductive biology, endocrinology, nutrition, genetics, behavior, health and ecology. By focusing on species that can most benefit from its space and facilities, populations can be managed on a large scale. Our goal is creating information, animals and populations that directly benefit that species in nature.

As a teenager, when not involved with hunting and shooting, he spent a lot of time pursuing Boy Scout activities. At 17 years of age he became the youngest person to become Activities Director at his regional Boy Scout camp. Boddington attended the University of Kansas on an NROTC scholarship, graduating with an English degree and a regular commission in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the USMC Reserves in 2005 with the rank of colonel after service in the Gulf War in 1991 and the Persian Gulf in 2002-2003. Increasingly, conservation scientists utilize devices such as unmanned vehicles, camera traps, and hydrophone arrays. Unfortunately, they are now starting to drown in the enormous amount of data being generated. The ability to analyze the impacts of climate change and plan for the future is not keeping pace. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help! Our mission at EarthSenseAI Center, a new 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is to make artificial intelligence accessible to scientists and government agencies who have only minimal cross-training by reducing barriers to AI and Machine Learning adoption. We are composed of computer scientists with diverse research and development backgrounds and all with a passion for connecting data collected in real-world environments to impactful conservation insights. The EarthSenseAI Center is dedicated to the open sharing of neural network models that we train and software that we develop. We will also be sharing progress on our projects and collaborations through blog posts by our machine learning specialists and conservation partners.
