Tappoo Group Of Companies
Bula Vinaka! From a small jewellery shop in Sigatoka in 1941 to one of Fiji’s most respected and diversified business houses — the Tappoo Group of Companies stands as a true Fijian success story built on family values, integrity, and community spirit. For over eight decades, we’ve proudly served the people of Fiji and beyond, growing from humble beginnings to a multi-industry enterprise spanning retail, duty free, wholesale, automotive, manufacturing, travel, hospitality, petroleum, and real estate. What started with one man’s dream — Mr. Tappoo Kanji’s craftsmanship and honesty — has now become a legacy carried by generations of the Tappoo family and more than 1,800 passionate employees across the country. Our flagship TappooCity shopping centres in Suva and Lautoka, along with Tappoo Duty Free at Nadi and Nausori International Airports, bring world-class shopping experiences to both locals and visitors. Through Kia Fiji, Tappoo Travel Centre, and our network of service stations and retail outlets, we continue to drive innovation, service excellence, and national growth. Beyond business, the Tappoo Group believes deeply in giving back. Through our community outreach, education sponsorships, and local partnerships, we proudly support initiatives that uplift Fijian families and strengthen our shared future. Our values remain rooted in trust, care, and togetherness — the same principles that have guided us since day one. As we look ahead, our mission is simple: to continue building a brighter, sustainable, and connected Fiji — with innovation in our business, pride in our people, and love for our islands. Consumer Council Of Fiji
The Consumer Council of Fiji is a statutory organisation established under the Consumer Council of Fiji Act (Cap 235). It provides external pressure as a watchdog to create a fair and just delivery of goods and services. The council is an advocacy organisation (not regulatory or enforcement), conducting rigorous research and policy analysis on key consumer issues. Consumer Council of Fiji is a full member of the UK-based Consumers International, a federation of consumer organisations representing over 220 organisations in 115 countries. It is also a member of the Standards Association of New Zealand(SANZ) and the Fiji Forum of Non-State Actors.” The Council’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Division also receives consumer complaints with the aim of fostering the development of effective, low-cost ways for consumers to resolve disputes and obtain replacements or monetary compensation for losses sustained. The ADR Division has tailored mechanisms that can provide consumers with access to remedies that do not impose costs, delays and burdens disproportionate to the economic value at stake. Consumers can lodge complaints using the toll-free number 155.
