Met veel vertrouwen start Micheline Aerts - Van de Voorde het bedrijf Saisons op en begint met de distributie van Germaine de Capuccini in de Benelux. Enkele jaren later is het merk niet meer weg te denken uit de sector en wordt duidelijk dat Germaine de Capuccini het beauty- & wellnessgebeuren naar een hoger niveau tilt. Meer dan 1200 schoonheidsspecialistes hebben inmiddels hun vertrouwen aan Saisons gegeven.

Elien Wouters is het gezicht achter The Beautician. Ze is al enkele jaren intensief bezig met make-up en beauty en besloot pas later om van haar passie haar beroep te maken. De passie begon met dagelijks een aantal blogs en YouTube-kanalen over make-up en beauty te volgen. Dit draaide al snel uit op uitvoerige make-up-experimenten op zichzelf en haar vriendinnen. Elien rondde een opleiding visagie en hairstyling af aan Encora in Berchem, maar besloot het hierbij niet te laten. Grenzen verleggen en steevast nieuwe trends, stijlen en technieken bijleren, is voor haar een absolute must. The Beautician streeft er dan ook naar mensen te doen stralen op de momenten die ze koesteren. Een flawless look op huwelijksfeesten, verjaardagsparty’s en andere festiviteiten is dan ook onmisbaar. Naast mensen er stralend doen uitzien, vindt Elien het ook belangrijk om haar kennis te delen. Aan de hand van creatieve en interactieve workshops leert ze stap voor stap de perfecte make-uplook aan. Nooit opgeven en positief door het leven gaan is wat haar zover al gebracht heeft. Haar droom is om ooit haar eigen make-up brand op de markt te brengen, “no dream is too big!”.

Anabanana
Most people don’t realise how wasteful cotton wool really are. Cotton is often referred to as the world’s “dirtiest crop.” It only covers 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land, but it’s responsible for 24% of the worlds insecticide market and 11% sale of pesticides globally. Additionally, the labor practices associated with growing cotton are harsh. Did you know that over a million people in Uzbekistan are forced to pick cotton every year? The numbers include children too, which is pretty horrific. When you think about it, all that cotton requires labor, water, and nutrients to grow, and we throw away probably millions (maybe billions) of cotton balls every year! Given that revelation, I decided to make my own. Anabanana is a zero waste concept currently selling reusable swaps to remove make up. Start small, think big. More things coming soon! I really want people to realise that living alternatively is easy and feasible. It's more economic in the long run and does promote a greater future for next generations. Be creative, be innovative, be yourself.
