Urban Zone is made up by a group of designers, constructors and product developers. We have our own workshop and drawing office with the purpose of development, sketching and modulation both for interior design projects and single products. We possess many years of experience with different design and decorating projects, and have thus formed the basis for our cooperation in Urban Zone. The studio’s approach is based on instinct and exploration, seeking the junction between sensibility and rationalism. Our team’s various interests and combined experience in many fields makes it possible for us to work on products ranging from houseware to sports equipment, fashion accessories and technical clothing. Attirail is a French term that refers to a comprehensive collection of activity-related products and gear. This definition reflects the studio's interest in working on various types of projects and scales.

Actura Element

Actura har siden 2013 arbejdet med mere end 100 børn/unge med autisme og ADHD. Interessen for at hjælpe unge med autisme opstod, da der tilfældigt kom unge ”autister” i virksomhedsforlagt undervisnig hos firmaet. Actura blev hurtigt et eftertragtet sted for unge med autisme og under en tilfældig snak, erfarede vi at ”fire ud af fire praktikanter” hos os, havde været ramt af depression i deres teenageår og at ”fire ud af fire”kunne fortælle at de havde haft det godt fra deres første dag i Actura, samt at de ikke følte sig tynget af deres diagnose i firmaet. Vi blev derfor nysgerrige efter at forstå hvad der var i spil og undersøge hvilken effekt det ville have, hvis vi gav ”asperger-drenge” i udskolingsalderen et tilsvarende tilbud om at være i virksomheden – altså før de ramte den mere eller mindre forudsigelige ”nedtur”. Efter nogle måneders research udviklede vi konceptet teknologitalenter hvor vi siden 2015 har haft mere end 50 aarhusianske udskolingsbørn med autisme/ADHD i virksomheden. Her møder børnene ordinært ansatte voksne med autismediagnoser, voksne der har livshistorier de kan genkende – de møder positive rollemodeller som de kan spejle sig i. Hos Actura tilbydes de unge muligheden for at arbejde med deres særinteresse og de får lov til at være sig selv – ingen forventning om at de skal ændre adfærd eller lære noget fordi andre mener at det er vigtigt. Vores metode/tilgang kan minde om den gammeldags mesterlære, hvor man arbejder på egen hånd og sammen med ”mester”- meget praksis – mindre teori. Teknologitalenterne arbejder eksempelvis med IT, programmering, konstruktion, arkitektur, science, grafik/animation, velfærdsteknologi etc. Vi har en succesrate på næsten 100%. Tilgangen er enkel, økonomisk attraktiv og skaber trivsel. Et vellykket forløb hos os er, når det lykkes at finde en ”ny” vej for et menneske, der tidligere har haft et problematisk skoleforløb/ungdomsliv,

En verden af unikt & bæredygtigt design. Favilla Studio placerer sig i samspillet mellem design, arkitektur, kunst og workshops. Selve navnet stammer fra det portugisiske ordet “Favela”, der henviser til de farverige improviserede boliger som ligger i udkanten af brasilianske storbyer. På samme måde skubber Favilla Studio grænser og bryder regler. Vi er en lille, Aarhus-baseret designvirksomhed, der sætter det unikke, det underfundige og det bæredygtige i centrum. Gennem samarbejde med forskellige aktører kan vi arbejde med materialer som de fleste andre må kigge langt efter. I de seneste år har vi blandt andet designet og produceret en lang række møbler, hvor det primære materiale er gulvbrædderne fra nedlagte eller renoverede idrætshaller. Det synes vi er sjovt og meningsfyldt.
