The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is responsible for overseeing and effectively leading BAF Shaheen College in Kurmitola on behalf of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Dhaka. It is the perfect non-residential educational institution with an inviting atmosphere. Later that year, in 2015, it was elevated to Class X. A new college facility was built in 2019, and the college section began operations, including the English Version (EV), the same year. The institution has roughly 7255 students, of whom 6286 are from the Bengali Version (BV) and the remaining 969 are from the English Version (EV): Each academic session, around 315 kids are accepted in 7 sections of KG class in the Bangla version. In addition, 90 pupils are enrolled in two sections of Class One in English. In other courses, new students are admitted through marketing and entrance examinations. It should be noted that children of BAF personnel are given priority at this college. In addition, admission to the XI classes is made in accordance with the norms and regulations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.
