Welcome To Our College রাউজান বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতার আন্দোলন ও মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের অনেক স্মৃতি বিজড়িত একটি উপজেলা। রাউজানে জন্ম নিয়ে ইতিহাসের পাতায় স্বর্ণাক্ষরে লিখিত হয়েছেন অনেক মহান ব্যক্তিদের নাম। যাদের মধ্যে রয়েছে মাষ্টারদা সূর্য সেন, এ. কে. এম. ফজলুল কবির চৌধুরী, গবেষক আব্দুল হক প্রমুখ। ১৯৫২ সালের ভাষা আন্দোলনে এই অঞ্চলের অনেকে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিল। রাউজানে তখন অনেক প্রাথমিক ও মাধ্যমিক স্কুল থাকলেও উচ্চ শিক্ষা থেকে বঞ্চিত ছিল রাউজানবাসী। ভাষা আন্দোলনের ১০ বছর পর স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলেন এ অঞ্চলের খ্যাতিমান প্রতিথযশা ব্যক্তিত্ব তৎকালীন পূর্ব পাকিস্তান প্রাদেশিক আইন পরিষদের চেয়্যারম্যান এ কে এম ফজলুল কবির চৌধুরী। তিনি সেদিন স্বপ্ন দেখেছিলেন রাউজানবাসীকে উচ্চ শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত করতে একটি কলেজ প্রয়োজন। তাই তিনি রাউজানের অন্যতম প্রতিথযশা দানশীল ব্যক্তি ডাঃ শামসুল হুদা চৌধুরী, এডভোকেট জালাল আহমদ, নূতন চন্দ্র সিংহ, রেবতী রঞ্জন বিশ্বাস, অধ্যক্ষ তোফায়েল আহমেদ প্রমুখদের সাথে আলাপ আলোচনা করে সর্বসিদ্ধান্তে উপনীত হয়ে রাউজান কলেজ প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। রাউজানের সূর্য সন্তান মাষ্টারদা সূর্যসেনের নেতৃত্বে বৃটিশদের বিরুদ্ধে তুমুল আন্দোলন গড়ে উঠেছিল এই অঞ্চলে। এছাড়াও মধ্যযুগের কবি হামিদ আলী, কবি নবীন চন্দ্র সেন, কবি শংকর ভট্ট ও কবি সনানন্দ ভট্ট, শিক্ষাবিদ হাফিজুর রহমান বি এ বিটি, সাহিত্যিক মাহবুবল আলম, অধ্যাপক আবদুল জলিল, মোঃ মহিউল ইসলাম, ইঞ্জিনিয়ার আবদুস সালাম সহ অসংখ্য কবি সাহিত্যিক, মহান আধ্যাতিœক সাধক, খ্যাতিমান রাজনীতিবিদদের জন্মভূমি ঐতিহ্যবাহী রাউজান। ঐতিহ্যবাহীরাউজান উপজেলার নামেই নামকরণকৃত হয়েছে এই রাউজান কলেজটি। চট্টগ্রাম জেলার অন্তর্গত রাউজান উপজেলাটি সর্বাধিক পরিচিত ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থান। যার আয়তন ২৪৬.৫৮ বর্গ কি.মি। কর্ণফুলি এবং হালদা রাউজান উপজেলার পার্শ্বস্থ দুটি বড় নদী। রাউজানের উত্তরে ফটিকছড়ি, দক্ষিণে রাঙ্গুনিয়া ও কর্ণফুলি নদীর পার্শ্বস্থ বোয়ালখালী, পূর্বে রাঙ্গামাটির কাউখালী, পশ্চিমে হাটহাজারী উপজেলা অবস্থিত। রাউজান উপজেলার যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা খুবই উন্নত। সড়কপথে দেশের যেকোন স্থান থেকে চট্টগ্রাম শহরের মুরাদপুর অথবা অক্সিজেন মোড় থেকে বাস যোগে রাউজান কলেজ (মুন্সির ঘাটা) আসা যায়।
