On 14 October 1896, a decree signed by Prince Ferdinand I, Prince of Bulgaria (1887 – 1907) sanctioned the opening of the State School of Drawing. The act made legitimate the oldest institution for higher art education in Bulgaria – present-day National Academy of Art. Archive documents on the establishment reveal the names of outstanding public figures – artists Anton Mitov, Ivan Mrkvička and Boris Schatz, men of letters Konstantin Velichkov and Ivan Shishmanov. Ranked number one in the 2022 Bulgarian University Ranking System, we're at the forefront of the full range of Fine Arts academic disciplines. We're still considered the most prestigious Bulgarian institution for training professional artists in fine and applied arts, design, conservation-restoration, history and theory of art. Тийноватор се реализира пилотно в България от учебната 2018-2019 година, когато в програмата участват общо 50 ученици от четири столични училища. За шест години расте с повече от десет пъти и в учебната 2023-2024 година участват над 700 ученици от 38 български града и 100 ментори – предприемачи от всички сфери на бизнеса. Тийноватор свързва екипи от 10 ученици в 10. и 11. клас с по двама ментори предприемачи, които в продължение на осем месеца им помагат да развиват меките си умения, като работа в екип, адаптивност, презентиране, управление на времето, както и да стартитират собствен бизнес. Тийноватор е базиран на учене през практика и е фокусиран върху стимулиране на креативното мислене на учениците. В края на учебната година екипите представят първите си стартъп компании пред жури от инвеститори и това е техният старт в света на бизнеса. Срещите между менторите и учениците са ежеседмични, в продължение на една учебна година, и се движат по специално разработена програма от теми, благодарение на която учениците да се научат как се прави бизнес от “А до Я”, как се работи в екип и как се презентира пред инвеститори. Програмата е безплатна, с което дава равен достъп до предприемачеството на всички младежи в тази възраст. С това допринася за повече подговени отрано кадри за пазара на работна ръка и е инвестиция в бъдещето на икономиката на страната.

The Bulgarian-American Commission for Educational Exchange (Bulgarian Fulbright Commission) was officially inaugurated on February 9, 1993, under a ten-year bilateral agreement between the Governments of the United States and the Republic of Bulgaria. On December 3, 2003, a new bilateral agreement was signed between the Governments of the United States and the Republic of Bulgaria establishing the Fulbright Commission in perpetuity. The Commission consists of ten members, five American citizens and five Bulgarian citizens. They represent the major areas of state and public activity: government, education, the arts, and business. The Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Bulgaria and the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria serve as honorary chairpersons of the Commission. The primary source of funding for the Fulbright Program and Commission in Bulgaria is an annual US government allocation of approximately and since 2009 an annual Bulgarian government contribution of The America for Bulgaria Foundation has generously supported the expansion of the Bulgarian Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program since 2010. The main function of the Commission directly derives from the goals of the Fulbright Program worldwide and consists in administering the exchange of Bulgarian and American scholars, students, teaching assistants and professionals and providing educational advising about opportunities for study in the U.S.
