Manning's Tutors Ltd
Founded in 2008, Manning’s Tutors Ltd is a private tuition agency working throughout Greater London. We currently have a team of 140 handpicked, DBS checked (previously called CRB) tutors, who cover approximately 200 lessons per week, both privately and in schools. Why chose Manning’s Tutors? Unlike other agencies, Manning’s personally interviews every tutor before hiring them to ensure they are approachable, likeable and enthusiastic about their subject. Regular meet ups throughout their employment promotes a sense of community amongst our tutors and enables Manning’s to continually develop and provide quality services for parents, schools and students. About our tutors A student who is engaged with their teacher will learn far more than one who doesn't and finds it a chore. Therefore, Manning’s only recruits tutors who are recent graduates, or still in further education. Each tutor is personally interviewed and has to pass a DBS check (previously called CRB) before they are hired. As recent University graduates, all our tutors are familiar with the current syllabus and are sympathetic to the educational pressures on today’s children. They promote a contemporary method of teaching which is fresh and engaging, avoiding old fashioned methods which can cause students to switch off. Our tutors cover all subjects at all levels from KS2 (Year 3, 4 and 5) right up to KS5 (Sixth form) and University STEP entrance exams. Subjects include, but are not limited to, Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, German, Spanish, History, Geography, Business studies, Economics, Art History, Sociology, Psychology and Health and Social Care. The results Since working with the students of Paddington Academy the number of pupils achieving 5 A*-C GCSE grades, including Maths and English has risen from 24% to 83%. To add to this, the Academy's Contextual Value Added (CVA) increased from 977 to 1072 - making it forth in the country.
