We provide quality language education for our students to enhance their interest and motivation for learning English. By offering a comprehensive English curriculum, we help our students to recognise and develop their potential, build up their self-confidence and prepare them for future challenges. The “CARE” philosophy is adopted by Plus Education Centre for curriculum planning and implementation. C-Creativity In order to facilitate language learning for young children whose attention span is relatively short, fun and creative teaching materials and methodology are adopted. For example, our teachers will tell interesting short stories when teaching special spelling of plural forms. A- Activities Educational and meaningful games are vital components to motivating children to learn. For example, our teachers will play bingo and chess games with the students when teaching prepositions and past forms. Learning through games doesn’t only give students enjoyment, but also provide an opportunity for them to apply their knowledge. R- Reinforcement Undoubtedly, drilling is inevitable when it comes to grammar learning. The more the students practise, the better they can develop different exam skills. E- Encouragement Rewards and encouragement are crucial in learning, especially to children. With the teacher’s positive feedback, our students will understand that it is acceptable to make mistakes and what matters most is how they learn from their mistakes. Besides, teacher’s recognition and appropriate rewards help children to build a sense of accomplishment, leading to a more effective learning outcome. We aim to cultivate students' interest in learning English through interactive and pleasurable lessons conducted by our experienced teachers. We encourage flexibility and versatility in our teaching staff. Learning activities such as role-plays, dramas, games and craft work are commonly integrated into classes so as to maximise students' involvement. In short, students are provided with a relaxing study atmosphere which results in greater enjoyment of class time and, subsequently, rapid improvement of their English skills. Our teachers hold Bachelors or Masters degrees with a major in English language, translation or education from local or international universities, and are all registered under the Education Ordinance. They are well experienced and the majority have received formal teacher training through taking education related courses such as Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), Certificate of Education and Child Psychology. These local and Native-speaking English teachers (NET) constitute our energetic and enthusiastic teaching team. Following recruitment of new teaching staff, a Teacher Training Programme is administrated to ensure a high quality of teaching and a unified vision among our teachers in achieving our School Mission. New teaching centre with ten multifunctional classrooms was established in Kowloon to cope with our growing number of new courses and increases in student intake. Our classrooms are fully equipped with multimedia systems that facilitate interactive learning and thus providing a fun and fulfilling experience.
