8bit 7845
Team 8BIT #7845 is a high school robotics group located in Jerusalem. Since 2019, the group has put together full-sized robots. As well as building a team that resembles a new company, more than a school club. Each year, we compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition, going against teams from around the world. But this journey is about much more than competing or engineering. It’s about writing code late into the night, racing deadlines. It’s about teaching others what we’ve learned. It’s about how to lead, how to fail and start over, and how to win — without losing humility. Along the way, we realized that what happens off the field matters just as much. We run events for the community, help launch other teams, and teach classes for kids and beginners. We show younger students that engineering isn’t just wires and code — it’s creativity, chaos, and fun. We represent Jerusalem, but our impact goes far beyond it. Our goal is to bring curiosity to the next generation, inspire them, and use technology as a tool for learning, growth, and real change in society. Each year, the team takes on the FIRST Robotics Competition. The group competes against other teams from many countries. The work is never only about the robot. It is about learning to write code at night before a deadline - it is about teaching younger students. The work helps members figure out how to direct, how to fail, how to begin again, along with how to win modestly. During this process, members found that their work away from the field carries equal weight; they manage community gatherings, instruct new teams as well, and hold classes for the community. They also teach younger children that engineering can be imaginative, disorderly, in addition to very enjoyable. The team stands for Jerusalem, but its effect reaches the entire nation. The group exists to begin interest, add to a desire to achieve, and employ technology as a means for learning and change in society.

Herzliya Hebrew Gymnasium
The Herzliya Hebrew Gymnasium, originally known as HaGymnasia HaIvrit (lit. Hebrew High School) is a historic high school in Tel Aviv, Israel. The school was founded in 1905 in Ottoman-controlled Jaffa. The cornerstone-laying for the school's new building on Herzl Street in the Ahuzat Bayit neighborhood of Tel Aviv took place on July 28, 1909. Gymnasia Herzliya was the country's first Hebrew high school. The building was designed by Joseph Barsky, inspired by descriptions of Solomon's Temple. The building on Herzl Street was a major Tel Aviv landmark until 1962, when the site was razed for the construction of the Shalom Meir Tower. The destruction of the building sparked widespread recognition of the importance of conserving historical landmarks. The Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel was founded in the 1980s partly in response to the fate of Herzliya Hebrew High School. Located today on Jabotinsky Street, it serves as a six-year secondary school. The modern campus is entered through a gate that is a replica of the facade of the 1909 building.
