Victoria University of Wellington Commerce Students' Society (VicCom) was founded in 2004 to be a voice for students within the university. With this in mind, VicCom has strived to create an environment for students to enhance their learning whilst gaining valuable experience with potential employers. VicCom is the largest student organisation within Victoria University with over students enrolled the faculty. As a student representation body, VicCom is dedicated to complimenting the university’s education and performance objectives by providing additional opportunities and support to students both academically and socially to ensure that students gain the best university experience possible, establishing relationships with potential employers and providing extensive networks to use upon completion of their study.

We also help people to have certain types of qualifications recognised internationally. This means people with New Zealand diplomas, degrees and other qualifications can work overseas, and skilled people from other countries can have their qualifications recognised in New Zealand. Participants also gain strength and insight from our global community in the Teach For All network. Our Kairapu (alumni) have gone on to serve schools as curriculum and pastoral leaders, as well as entering fields such as education and equity policy, research, and nonprofit advocacy. All of our Kairapu are united in seeking a fairer education system and society, and lend their unique strengths as they work with and through others for an Aotearoa that we can all be proud of.
