Razvojno izobraževalni center Novo mesto, RIC Novo mesto for short, is a public institution for adult education and was founded in 1994 by the Municipality of Novo mesto. The concept of the evolution of Institution's organisation and activities is being constantly developed and upgraded in a dynamic way. From an institution whose activities primarily involved educational programmes towards a degree ten years ago, RIC Novo mesto has grown into an adult education centre offering an array of programmes and boasting strong development activities. We provide primarily adult education services for seven neighbouring municipalities in addition to our home municipality. Recently, there has been a steady increase in activities in the scope of project work, thereby in establishing links within partnerships, from local to international. Our programmes of formal and non-formal education, the development of our programmes, the introduction of new forms and possibilities in education and lifelong learning, project work and support activities for adult education and learning, such as counselling, Knowledge Exchange or Open Learning Centre, are put into practice by fifteen permanently employed or freelance educators and administrative workers and by a greater number of the employees hired through public works. Individual and group career counselling Individual career counselling provides students and graduates with detailed information on career opportunities and development. We offer career advice and support graduates in their search for employment. Events The Career Center of the University of Maribor organizes various events, such as lectures, seminars, workshops, discussions and meetings. The majority of these events may be attended by all students and graduates interested, while others are organized for specific groups. We also arrange visits to potential employers. Promote flexible learning pathways and support high-quality career orientation for school-age youth at all levels of the education system. The operation will be implemented in the west Slovenia cohesion region (hereinafter: WSCR) and the east Slovenia cohesion region (hereinafter: ESCR) by accounting for the registered headquarters of the beneficiary implementing the operation. Allocation of funding by cohesion region: WSCR 67%, and ESCR 33%. The project runs from 1 July 2015 through 30 June 2020.
