Get Ahead Project Trust Schools
The Get Ahead Project opened its doors to 26 isiXhosa speaking pre-school learners in 1992. A group of parents founded the school because they believed English language development was necessary for these learners to be provided with a better education than the public schools in the area. In 2002, Peter Oliver, a native South African living in Toronto, Canada, and founder of The Leacock Foundation, visited the school and was inspired by what he saw. The Leacock Foundation became a partner providing ongoing financial support, allowing the schools to expand significantly and more learners to enroll at Get Ahead. In 2003, the Canadian “Triangle of Hope” was formed between Get Ahead and Canadian schools to enrich learners’ educational experience through collaborative learning. Today, through the generous support of numerous donors who share the same vision, Queenstown Get Ahead Project, Whittlesea Get Ahead Project and Get Ahead College accommodate 1 learners.

With high unemployment and low employment prospects, many South Africans struggle to feed themselves and their family. We provide funded training opportunities for unemployed learners through training partners like 360° Skills & development Solutions and many others and company-sponsored training initiatives. However, this alone does not guarantee success. Our focus at Prosherum is to identify learning opportunities, improve the selection process to improve the success rate and provide proper learner support and when required, tools of the trade. We can show you how to submit your skills plans at no cost to you AND the opportunity to train your personnel and also provide work and exposure to unemployed people where we will train and pay them. Visit us now to find out how this can be done.
