St. John Fisher School
The St. John Fisher School was established under the auspices of spouses, Mr. Marjolino V. del Moral and Mrs. Priscila C. del Moral. It was envisioned as a community school that would make affordable and quality education accessible to students within the area. Over the years, its philosophy, mission, goals, and objectives have been modified, revised and enhanced to make them more responsive, innovative and encompassing in meeting the dynamic nature of the field of education. SJFS was inaugurated on May 1995, and officially started its operation during the School Year 1995-1996 with around 326 students in the Pre School and Grade School levels. At its helm were Mr. Marjolino V. del Moral as Director, Mrs. Priscila C. del Moral as Administrative Head, and Mr. Ernesto D. Rosales Jr. as Principal. There were only ten teachers then; Mrs. Racel Pantoni, Mrs. Susan Caro, Mrs. Ellen Rivales, Mrs. Violy Altonaga, Miss Gemma Teorema, Miss Jessica de Jesus, Mrs. Shirley Regaspi, Miss Lyn Rosales, Miss Glenda Dural, and Miss Emely Aduana. The High School Department opened in the succeeding year. Anchored on its mission to be of greater service to a greater number of students within the province of Cavite, SJFS expanded its operation by putting up branches and affiliate schools; SJFS-Imus in 1996, Thomas Aquinas School-Gen. Trias in 2002, and SJFS-Dasmarinas in 2007. SJFS, in a short span of years, had already produced a number of students who qualified for admission to some of the best schools and universities in the country. It also takes pride in producing from its roster of alumni summa cum laudes, magna cum laudes and cum laudes. SJFS graduates who are now successful in their chosen fields and careers are a humble testament to its cherished philosophy of effecting change for the better in the lives of the students. Notre Dame Of Genio Edcor, Inc
In 1957, the settlers of EDCOR requested the late Archbishop Gerard Mongeau, OMI, DD,(February 4, 1900 – October 31, 1994) to establish a school for their children. The bishop's response was to let the people establish the building, then he will provide the administrators. In answer to the request, the construction of wooden materials was offered by the farm Administrator, retired Major Dalmacio Tecson. Labor was free. The Army Chaplain, Fr. Manuel Vacante supervised the construction. It was a seven-room building with one room for the laboratory, one room for the library and one room for offices and faculty. The building was completed in time for the school year 1958–1959, offering courses for first and second year high school. The late Bishop Mongeau & Bishop Dion of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate The administration of the school was offered to the Oblates of Notre Dame (OND sister), a community of women organized on 1956 in Cotabato City. The ONDs accepted the offer because the school was a good venue for Catechism. The fourth year students will be trained to be catechists to the public elementary pupils. Notre Dame of Genio Edcor is a small school located in a town where there is no other public secondary school existing during that time and poverty is keenly felt by the people. In such a given context the school ministry strives to bring hope and joy to the students and the community it serves.
