Northlink College
Under the auspices of the National Department of Higher Education (DHET). The DHET was created in 2009, in order to advance the national vision of a coherent, comprehensive and differentiated post-school system. This post school system must contribute to the lives of individuals, the national economy and to the development of an equitable and capable South African society. The DHET will achieve its mandate by effectively planning, regulating, resourcing and co-ordinating the provision of post-school education and vocational training opportunities especially for our country’s youth. The imminent promulgation of the TVET Colleges Amendment Bill brings about a shift of functions related to the administration of TVET Colleges from the provinces to the Minister of Higher Education and Training. This function shift enables the DHET to realise the creation of a coherent post-school system and thereby comprehensively address the skills supply challenges.

Services Seta
The Services SETA is one of 21 Sector Education and Training Authorities set up by the government to ensure the skills gap is closed by collaborating with the private sector to meet the current industry needs and skills needed in the future as part of the post-school education and training system (PSET). To accomplish this, SETAs must work with employers, ensure training meets their needs, and strive to create an environment where lifelong learning is encouraged. Furthermore, we facilitate and fund initiatives designed to develop skills in the service sector. Historically, South Africa has been plagued by massive inequality, with previously disadvantaged groups excluded from the economy. Finally, our primary aim is to bridge the gap by way of skills development, and by providing quality education, resources, and job opportunities. We do this by disbursing grants to employers and skills development providers to offer training to employed and unemployed learners, as delegated by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). Additionally, our skills development drivers are deployed through learning programmes like learnerships, skills programmes, internships, and other learning initiatives. Get involved & contribute to helping South Africa develop its skills and take advantage of our available incentives. For more information, visit our website.

It has been said that “Education, by its very nature, is a value-laden enterprise. It will implicitly or explicitly express some world view”. What world view do you want your child to have? At The King’s School we believe it is a privilege to be able to impart a biblical worldview to our learners. We take seriously the mandate to prepare our learners for effective Christian living. This school is committed to partner with parents to present the truth about God and His Word as the authoritative source on which to build a young life with purpose and meaning. The King’s School is a family: we count it as a privilege to have learners from pre-school to matric on one property and we encourage the older learners to be the big brothers and sisters to the younger learners.
