No Woman Left Behind
The No Woman Left Behind (NWLB) project aims to train Gambian women in a situation of special vulnerability as entrepreneurs and facilitate the creation of small businesses managed by them. The project will train and mentor the women involved, most of whom have received training and qualification at Institute of Travel and Tourism of The Gambia (ITTOG) in the production of local gastronomic products for the responsible tourism market. The project empowers these women as entrepreneurs, empowers them in the exercise of managerial functions and contributes to reducing the existing gender inequality. Participating are selected based on their motivation and interest and will participate from the beginning in their learning process and the creation of their own business initiative.

Background Information THE FORBES ACADEMY (TFA) was legally established in April 2019, from an initial desire to help aspiring public speakers and address the rising demand for public speaking training from different sectors of society. Founded and led by Pastor Francis Forbes, a Gambian household name in television presenting and public speaking with over two decades of experience, TFA has provided public speaking training to a diverse group of people including bankers, real estate developers, top civil servants, private businessmen and women, private consultants, civil society actors, hospitality industry HR & PR staff, and secondary and tertiary level students. In response to growing demand, TFA in 2023 expanded its training to include tailored leadership, communication, and customer service training for both government and corporate institutions. In addition, TFA has provided some specially tailored training for individuals with speech impediments. II. Vision and mission TFA’s VISION TFA is committed to the pursuit of excellence in every sphere of life. By providing high-quality and contextual communication training, mentoring & coaching, TFA seeks to build confidence to achieve individual potential and raise standards of service provision in the nation and beyond.
