Leng Dei លេងដី
At Leng Dei, we believe we are growing disconnected from the materiality of our needs & from the interconnected nature of all living beings, we don’t see them anymore. As a result, exploited and polluted lives are at the heart of our choices of development. What if we could clearly see what regenerative & desirable futures look like & how we could take part in them today? Leng Dei aspires to become a social enterprise, that seeks to bring more fun and life quality to the environmental education landscape. Our mission is to empower people to connect with soil, biodiversity and environmental care. We do this through 3 mission channels: 1) an empowering space “Leng Dei”, which means “play with soil” in Khmer language, a educational food garden located in the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, so that people can feel “Wow! I’m feeling inspired to be a part of this!” 2) empowering educational toolkits, to compost, garden, cook, teach, so that people can feel “I did it! And I loved it! And many things clicked!” 3) an empowering network “For an ecologically literate world”, so that educators can find programmes and resources to grow ecological understanding and belonging, as well as find and share support, empathy, inspiration, moments to meet. By 2030, we want to help turn square meters of urban space into educational food gardens, and grow a collaborative network of educators for lively & fun ecology education.

Department Of Information And Communication Engineering - Dice - សាលាតិចណូ
Founded in 1998, the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, also known as Département de Génie d’Informatique et Communication (GIC) in French, has formed more than one thousand engineers and technicians in computer science who are now participating actively in the development of both public and private sectors. Our programs are built based on a very solid curriculum which covers fundamental theories in computer science and information technologies. Upon completion of the programs, students will be able to gain technical expertise consisting of critical thinking and problem solving skills involving analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of computer-based systems. The programs also give an introduction to research in advanced domains, such as image processing, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and distributed system. In addition to the technical competency, our programs are enhanced with soft skill development through teamwork tasks in class and obligatory internships to a real working environment for the readiness of the students into their professional life. Our research unit has been working on a variety of research fields consisting of data science and processing of natural language focusing on Khmer including OCR (Optical Character Recognition), ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), MT (Machine Translation), and TTS (Text to Speech). We have been working in these domains for decades with both local and international partners. We are working on an ASEAN Cyber University project supported by KOICA to produce high quality e-learning courses which have been used at ITC and other universities in Cambodia under the blended learning strategy. All courses are developed by qualified teams (Instructional Design, Content Development, Studio Engineer, and Subject Matter Experts) trained by experts from South Korea and Cambodia. In 2013, the department started a Master program of Computer Science
