Educate
Africa has the world’s youngest and fastest-growing population. By 2035, the continent is poised to contribute more young people to the global workforce each year than the rest of the world combined. At Educate, we're obsessed with impact. We leverage iterative learning to build highly scalable youth employment solutions aimed at unlocking the potential of the world’s youngest continent. We aspire to become the largest youth employment organization in the world. Educate! prepares youth in Africa to learn, earn and thrive in today’s economy by: 1) introducing an employment-focused school subject in secondary education, and 2) delivering livelihood bootcamps for young people unable to access secondary education, with a focus on girls and young women in rural communities Our work has been validated by several independent evaluations, which found positive outcomes on income, employment, gender equity, family planning and sexual and reproductive health, educational attainment, and climate change resilience. To date, more than youth have been meaningfully impacted across Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, and along the way, Educate! has become the largest youth employment and skills provider in East Africa. Educate!'s long-term vision is to design solutions that measurably impact millions of youth across Africa each year.

Ukarimu Academy
The Tourism & Hospitality sector has the potential to employ millions of young people on the African continent. It could provide youth with decent jobs and the opportunity to grow personally and professionally – but only if done right. Unfortunately, tourism & hospitality are often considered a last resort. Many young people working in the lower ranks of the sector, therefore do not consider it as a long-term career path. One of the factors that contribute to this situation is the lack of relevant and high-quality training opportunities across the continent that focus on practical skills that are relevant to the sector. Ukarimu was developed to solve exactly that problem: by making contextualized tourism & hospitality curricula freely accessible to anyone interested in training young Africans for a successful career in the sector. To date, 3 courses and over 25 modules have been developed with more yet to come! Hospitality Tour Guiding Product Development Would you like to work with Ukarimu?
