Call Of The Sea
Call of the Sea is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit with the mission of enabling inclusive and equitable access to on the water science-based educational programs that foster the connection to watersheds, ocean environments & nautical heritage. Our floating classrooms include the volunteer-built 132' brigantine Matthew Turner and the lovely 82' schooner, Seaward. Our goal is to offer the benefits of connecting with the sea and sailing to all people, with a special focus on empowering youth of all backgrounds. We offer school field trips and summer camps and 40% of the youth who sail with us do so through scholarships. Our programs range from three hours to two weeks long, primarily taking place on San Francisco Bay, but occasionally ranging as far as Baja Mexico. We aim to connect students throughout the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay area with environmental education while at sail.

Case Collaborative
Concord Area Special Education (CASE) Collaborative has been an organization that allows school districts to plan, develop and implement programs for students with special needs. CASE is an educational collaborative agency made up of 11 regional and municipal districts serving the Greater Boston metropolitan area. CASE is governed by a board of directors comprised of ten school superintendents representing each of its member school districts. CASE was formed in 1974 to meet regional needs of member school districts. The main, although not exclusive, focus of CASE Collaborative is children and young adults who require special education. All CASE programs are staffed with licensed teachers, teaching assistants, Registered Behavior Technicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, and other related service therapists, including reading specialists, teachers of the visually impaired, orientation and mobility therapists, and assistive technology specialists. The specific mix of professionals and services is dictated by the individual student’s IEP. Programs are available as school year programs, supplemented by an Extended School Year program during the summer. Academic, behavioral, and diagnostic assessments are provided.

Founded in 1972, Chapel Haven Schleifer Center (CHSC) has been changing lives for adults with disabilities for a half-century. Our award-winning non-profit based in the Westville section of New Haven, Conn. teaches adults with developmental and social disabilities to live independent and productive lives through a nationally accredited transitional living program and approved private special education school. Chapel Haven’s mission is to empower adults to live independent and self-determined lives. Our program is truly lifelong. Chapel Haven serves more than 250 adults (18 years of age and older) in the residence and the community with two distinct programs; REACH and Asperger's Syndrome Adult Transition (ASAT) programs.
