First72
We're emergency experts that help you prepare for the first 72 hours. We built FIRST72 because there was no single place for Kiwi's to prepare. Now there is. FIRST72 has quickly become New Zealand's leading emergency preparedness brand. Since 2022, we've prepared over 330+ communities across New Zealand and prepared thousands of Kiwis for emergencies. We're partnered with some of NZ's most trusted household names including AMI Insurance, IAG, Westpac and Westfield, NZ Police, NZDF, FENZ and more. Our story took a defining turn in 2023, where we deployed 25 EPODs (our specialist emergency pods) to Wairoa, Hawke's Bay just three days before Cyclone Gabrielle. And when those communities become cut-off, our EPODs kept them running. We've now deployed over 70+ EPODs across New Zealand. Learn more at about us at

Epod
EPODs are specialist emergency pods designed by FIRST72 to keep entire communities going through the first 72+ hours of an emergency - and beyond. Every EPOD is customised to the marae, community, business or response team it serves, with everything needed to support hundreds of people for 3+ days during a major event - without reliance on external help. EPODs are a proven model for community resilience, recognised by the NZ Government's Independent Inquiry into the Response to Cyclone Gabrielle. More than 70+ EPODs have now been deployed across Aotearoa in partnership with major corporates, councils, Civil Defence groups, iwi and Government agencies - making EPOD one of NZ's most trusted community resilience solution.
