Bebat
For over 30 years, Bebat has been giving used batteries a new life. We work for a better environment by collecting ever more used batteries, reusing them wherever possible and recycling them ever better. Bebat collects all used batteries - from the smallest button cell to the largest EV or industrial battery. We make collection and recycling as simple, safe and efficient as possible. Through clear communication, we encourage not only the regular bringing in of all used batteries, but also the safe, correct and sustainable use of batteries. Founded in 1995 as a non-profit organisation (NPO), Bebat was one of the pioneers in environmental compliance in Europe. We were established by major battery manufacturers to enable companies to meet their extended producer responsibility (EPR) for discarded batteries. Bebat facilitates producers and importers to meet their legal obligations by, among other things: • collecting used batteries through an extensive network of collection points; • ensuring that they are carefully sorted and recycled, reused or repurposed; • raising awareness through national campaigns. Over the years Bebat has grown into an environmental organisation with world-class collection results, not the least thanks to our more than collection points and 4,500 affiliated participants. With over tonnes of batteries collected each year, Belgium is one of the world's top performers in battery collection and recycling. As a pioneer in sustainability, we at Bebat continue to innovate with the help of our partners and other sector organisations. The world is evolving rapidly, with more new devices and technologies hitting the market — and with them, more batteries. To ensure the collection and recycling of all these batteries stays as efficient, sustainable and safe as possible, we continuously focus on optimisation and progress so that together, we can make an even greater impact. Big
BIG is an information and emergency call center on dangerous chemical substances. Information is gathered with respect to physicochemical and (eco)toxic properties as well as regulations on safety, health, environmental protection and transport; all related to hazardous materials. This information is stored in an extensive database (more than substances and mixtures that can be accessed via a million synonyms and queried in 17 languages). Each year a selection of entries is edited on DVD with data concerning transport and packaging requirements (ADR, RID, ADNR, IMO and IATA), material handling, emergency response, disposal and labelling in compliance with the latest EU regulations. This DVD includes 13 query languages. The information stored in the BIG database is a very useful source material to draft Safety Data Sheets, Workplace Instruction Cards or EU Labels. BIG has not only specialists in the field of EU classification but also in the areas of environmental and transport legislation. This means that we can offer services such as 24 hours Emergency Response service, Product Registration within Europe, advice on packing and transport requirements. BIG has also been specializing in REACH and CLP (GHS) and acts as Only Representative for a number of Non-EU manufacturers

We hebben ook een eigen hoogtechnologische afvalenergiecentrale met rookgaswassing en energieterugwinning. BOS+ is an NGO dedicated to sustainable forestry, conservation and afforestation in Flanders and worldwide. A new name in the forest landscape, BOS+ is the integration of 2 existing NGOs: the Association for Forests in Flanders (VBV), which has been promoting forests in Flanders for more then 40 yrs, and Groenhart, since 10 yrs doing the same in a number of tropical countries. Their successful collaboration culminated in the creation of BOS+ in 2012. BOS means ‘forest’ in Dutch, and the '+' in the name has several meanings: TOGETHER BOS+ collaborates. The '+' obviously stands for the cooperation between VBV and Groenhart, but there's more. BOS+ is a frontrunner and brings forests to the limelight. But others have to participate, to help spread the message: BOS+ forest lovers,+ press,+ civil and private society,+ environmental NGOs,+ land owners,+ forest managers,+ authorities,+ scientists,+ national and international partners,+. Only together can we create a broad base and growing awareness that forests and trees are vital for a livable world for humans, plants and animals. Only together can we reach this goal. MORE Far too many forests still disappear: yearly deforestation reaches several times the size of Belgium. In Flanders large areas of forest are destroyed, a sad exception in Europe where the past decades forest area has grown over 2 million ha. The conclusion is simple: BOS+ wants more forest. The world needs more forest. BETTER Forests and trees contribute to a more sustainable society, not only in Flanders, but worldwide. It's important not only to have more, but also better forests. BOS+ asks for greater efforts for forest conservation and management. BOS+ has the knowhow and the experience for environmentally sound forest management. We have an innovative approach to sustainable forest policies. Anyone who is committed to forests can make use of it. Eventually these efforts serve society as a whole, because FORESTS GIVE LIFE

Ecowerf
EcoWerf is een intergemeentelijk milieubedrijf met een kristalheldere visie, een klantgerichte dienstverlening én met duidelijke ambities. EcoWerf voert voor én samen met haar 27 steden en gemeenten in Oost-Brabant een duurzaam en integraal afvalbeleid dat vernieuwt en vooruitdenkt. Samen geven we afval toekomst! EcoWerf hanteert als waardegedrevenen ambitieus bedrijf een unieke leiderschapsstijl en investeert in haar mensen en hun welzijn. EcoWerf wil een volwaardige speler zijn in de transitie van afval- naar materialenbeheer. Zo werken we samen met veel partners aan de uitbouw van een circulaire economie. EcoWerf zorgt voor de inzameling en verwerking van het huishoudelijk afval in 27 gemeenten in Oost-Brabant en zorgt voor de aanrekening van de juiste tarieven. 354 medewerkers staan in voor de dagdagelijkse dienstverlening voor inwoners. Dagelijks zijn er een 100-tal chauffeurs en laders met 60 ophaalwagens en containerwagens op de baan. Inwoners kunnen terecht bij 70 parkwachters in 23 recyclageparken en op 306 glasbolsites. Jaarlijks verwerkt EcoWerf in haar composteringsinstallatie zo’n ton gft tot waardevolle compost. EcoWerf zorgt voor de overslag van de selectief ingezamelde afvalstoffen naar sorteer- en recyclagebedrijven. Zo maken we een circulaire economie mogelijk.
