Le but est de réduire notre empreinte écologique en milieu urbain, adaptés aux ressources dont dispose notre planète, ainsi qu’aux conditions climatiques futures. Nachhaltige und solidarische Quartiere SEED, Next Generation Living ist eine Zertifizierung des Schweizer Vereins für nachhaltige Quartiere und knüpft an den von One Planet Living entwickelten Ansatz an. Die in ihrer Art einzigartige und unabhängige Zertifizierung wurde unter der Aufsicht der Gründungsmitglieder, WWF Schweiz und Implenia AG entwickelt und richtet sich als Nachhaltigkeitslabel an ganze Quartiere. Die Aufgabe der SEED-Zertifizierung besteht darin, den Wohnungsbau neu zu erfinden, indem nachhaltige und solidarische Quartiere konstruiert werden, die sich auf den Respekt für die Umwelt und das Wohlergehen ihrer Bewohner konzentrieren. Ziel ist es, unseren ökologischen Fussabdruck in städtischen Gebieten zu verringern, angepasst an die Ressourcen, die unserem Planeten zur Verfügung stehen sowie an die künftigen Klimabedingungen.

Viastoria
Historical traffic routes are preserved in many ways, and they all are harmoniously integrated in our extensive cultural landscape. Sunken lanes cut deeply into the slopes, cobbled mule tracks, and ingenious roads that overcome the Alpine passes with countless bends; all these track forms are today precious landscape elements that offer, in various situations a highly valuable experience. ViaStoria, the Center of Transport History, has for the past 20 years done its utmost for research, renovation and the appropriate use of historical traffic routes. On behalf of the Swiss Confederation, the organisation created in the years 1984–2003 the Inventory of historical traffic routes in Switzerland (IVS). Research, counseling and information are the three most important domains of activity of ViaStoria. At present, the main fields of work are the tourism project Cultural Routes of Switzerland and the research and publications project Transport Historiy of Switzerland. Still ViaStoria is a competent partner for inventorisation and renovation in the cantons. In the context of this works ViaStoria publishes several magazines and other printed products.

Pour ce faire, elle attribue le label CARBON FRI à celles qui s’engagent volontairement à diminuer leurs émissions de gaz à effet de serre et à investir dans la Fondation Carbon Fri une contribution par tonne de CO2 rejetée dans l’atmosphère. Le label peut également être décerné à des manifestations, des produits, des services, ou encore des processus. Les revenus de la Fondation sont directement réinjectés dans le tissu économique fribourgeois en allouant des fonds pour soutenir des projets locaux permettant, eux aussi, une réduction d’émissions de CO2.
