Klik Foundation
The Foundation for Climate Protection and Carbon Offset KliK is a private organisation that acts in accordance with the Swiss CO₂ Act and the Swiss CO₂ Ordinance and serves public interest. It was established in 2012 by the Swiss Petroleum Association (now Avenergy Suisse) for the fulfilment of the industry's legal obligation to offset fuel emissions. The Foundation actively contributes to sustainable climate protection by financing mitigation activities that demonstrably reduce emissions. In the current decade, the KliK Foundation expects to achieve emission reductions of 40 million tonnes of CO₂, which corresponds to about 10% of Switzerland’s emissions. At least half of this is in Switzerland. In addition to national activities, the Foundation has also been involved in international greenhouse gas mitigation activities since 2022. These take place in countries that have concluded bilateral climate agreements with Switzerland in accordance with Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. The financial contributions of the Foundation enable the implementation of activities that not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also take into account additional social, ecological and health benefits in the partner country. The resulting emission reduction certificates through the promotion of climate-friendly technologies and innovations in Switzerland (Swiss attestations, CHA) and abroad (Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes, ITMOs) are acquired by the KliK Foundation and delivered to Switzerland, which uses them for the achievement of its climate targets (Nationally Determined Contribution, NDC). In this way, the Foundation KliK makes a significant contribution to the achievement of Switzerland's climate targets and to the global reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Neustark
Limiting global warming to 1.5°C implies reaching net zero CO2 emissions in 2050 according to the IPCC. Next to substantially reducing emissions, this target will only be possible by globally deploying carbon removal (CDR) solutions at the scale of billions of tons of CO2. Neustark is a leading provider in this rapidly growing field, having developed a solution to permanently store CO2 from the air in recycled mineral waste such as demolished concrete. Our first solutions have been deployed in Switzerland and Europe and are already capturing and storing tons of CO2 every week. We are currently scaling up our operations and carbon removal impact globally – on the road to removing one million tons of CO2 in 2030, and beyond that. Founded in 2019, neustark AG is based in Berne, Switzerland, and is a team of around 55 people (as per Q3 2023) working at our Berne, Zurich and Cologne offices. Swiss Climate Foundation
The Swiss Climate Foundation supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose actions help protect our climate. Any company with up to 250 employees in Switzerland and/or Liechtenstein is invited to apply for funding. The Foundation funds projects in three areas as follows- Measures to improve energy efficiency in the company - Innovative climate-protection solutions - Goals agreed voluntarily with the government by the energy agency of the economy (Energieagentur der Wirtschaft, EnAW) or with Cleantech Agency Switzerland (act) Since June 2017, the Swiss Climate Foundation has also been promoting the rejuvenation of forests that are difficult to access. The aim is to prevent the forests from overaging, becoming unstable and turning into a CO2 source should they die. The Foundation is working together on the forest programme with WaldSchweiz and the Konferenz der Kantonsförster (Conference of Cantonal Foresters). The Foundation is a partnership of renowned service providers based in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, including banks, insurance companies and consultancies. Their commitment is a voluntary initiative by business for business, by large firms for small firms. Being service providers and therefore low energy users with low carbon emissions, these firms are refunded more of the payroll-based CO2 incentive tax than they pay in. Die Leitungen für die Trinkwasserversorgung sind eine der wichtigsten Infrastrukturen. Deshalb müssen die Rohre in einem einwandfreien Zustand sein. Bis jetzt ist dies aber schwierig zu gewährleisten, da sie unterirdisch verbaut sind. Es kann nicht auf eine Sichtkontrolle von aussen zurückgegriffen werden. Eine Möglichkeit ist die Untersuchung von innen durch Endoskop Kameras, diese sind jedoch in ihrer Reichweite durch das Kabel stark begrenzt. Neuere Lösungen bieten Sonden, die in das Rohr eingesetzt werden. Diese Geräte lassen sich mit der Strömung im Wasser treiben. Deswegen müssen vorab abzweigende Rohre gesperrt, die Fliessgeschwindigkeit berechnet und ein sehr aufwendiges Modell erstellt werden. Minimale Abweichungen der Berechnungen führen zu Qualitätseinbussen bei den erhobenen Daten. Um sich von den Mitbewerbern abzuheben wird eine selbständige Fortbewegung angestrebt, sowie eine Navigation von aussen. Auch das aufwendige einsetzten in das Netzwerk soll vereinfacht werden. Diese Vorteile resultieren in kostengünstigeren Kontrollen. In der Schweiz sind rund km Versorgungsleitungen für Frischwasser verlegt. Diese sollten periodisch kontrolliert werden. Die Nachfrage nach einem zuverlässigen und effizienten Kontrollsystem ist ausserordentlich hoch.
