Der Verein Ecopaper setzt sich gegen Papierverschwendung und für einen höheren Einsatz von Recyclingpapier ein. Ecopaper anerkennt, dass Druckerzeugnisse unverzichtbar sind. Aber es werden grundsätzlich zu viele Drucksachen publiziert. Zudem könnte statt Neufaserpapier in den meisten Fällen Recyclingpapier eingesetzt werden. Mit dem vermehrten Einsatz von Recyclingpapier und einem deutlich tieferen Papierverbrauch ist es möglich, relativ einfach und ohne Komfortverlust einen Beitrag gegen die weltweite Zerstörung der Wälder, für einen schonenderen Umgang mit Ressourcen und gegen den Klimawandel zu leisten. Ecopaper informiert und sensbilisiert für einen nachhaltigen Papierkreislauf, der Produktion, Verwendung und Entsorgung respektive Recycling umfasst. Besonders Multiplikatoren wie die öffentliche Verwaltung, die aufgrund der Verwendung von Steuergeldern unter besonderer Beobachtung steht, sollten ihre Verantwortung wahrnehmen, hier einen Beitrag zu leisten. Aus diesem Grund ist die Aktion urwaldfreundlich.ch ein wichtiger Pfeiler der Arbeit von Ecopaper.

Zoein est une initiative originale de Sophie Swaton, philosophe et économiste, enseignante-chercheure à l’université de Lausanne. Ses recherches axées sur le travail, la pauvreté et l’économie politique, l’ont conduite à conceptualiser le « Revenu de Transition Ecologique ». Elles se prolongent sur les liens entre la nature, la diversité des cultures et des communautés humaines dans les pays du Sud comme du Nord (Coll. Nouvelles Terres, Presse Universitaire France). En 2017, la Fondation Zoein, reconnue d’utilité publique, est créée à Genève. Elle a pour but de co-produire des savoirs engagés afin de répondre, à son échelle, aux bouleversements de notre monde, et plus particulièrement ceux engendrés par le dérèglement climatique et l’effondrement de la biodiversité. En 2019, Sophie Swaton lance l’Association Zoein, dont le siège est à Paris, dans le but de promouvoir le Revenu de Transition Ecologique en France. Depuis, la Fondation soutient l’association, à travers un partenariat scientifique et financier. La Fondation Zoein, en Suisse, et l’Association Zoein, en France, poursuivent ensemble l’objectif de promouvoir de nouveaux modèles socio-économiques et démocratiques, articulant enjeux écologiques et enjeux sociaux. La Fondation et l’Association facilitent ainsi l’appropriation de solutions innovantes par les acteurs de terrains. Elles contribuent en cela à l’émergence de nouveaux imaginaires en faveur d’une société plus soutenable, ancrée dans les réalités des territoires.
