Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center
Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center (formerly Rescate Animal Zoo Ave) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to Costa Rica’s wildlife conservation. It is administered by a conservation nonprofit foundation called Fundación Restauración de la Naturaleza. Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center is the largest and oldest wildlife rehabilitation center in the country. In addition to rescuing and releasing native wildlife, we also maintain a Life-time Care Sanctuary and a Conservation Breeding Center. Rescate’s mission is to protect and restore the country’s biodiversity through wildlife rehabilitation, endangered species breeding, habitat preservation, and the provision of lifetime care for non-releasable animals. Rescate’s vision is to prioritize animal welfare and conservation. We receive over animals on an annual basis and release the majority of them back into the wild. We also provide a forever home in our wildlife sanctuary. Residents of the sanctuary live in highly naturalized habitats in a natural forest setting. There are more than 125 species of animals (over 800 animals) including sloths, monkeys, jaguar, tapir, birds, and reptiles that have been rescued and cannot be released back to their natural habitat.

Wild Sun Rescue Center
We are a wildlife rescue center located on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, just bordering Cabo Blanco National Park. Our primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release orphaned and injured wildlife, returning them to a healthy life in the wild and in turn supporting local biodiversity. We are also in the first phase of our Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao macao) reintroduction program, breeding and releasing this iconic umbrella species that has been extirpated from much of Costa Rica.
