Dcmr Milieudienst Rijnmond
DCMR Milieudienst Rijnmond werkt in het grootste en meest intrigerende en afwisselende werkgebied van Nederland: het Rijnmondgebied. Met een wereldhaven, grootschalige (petrochemische) industrie en een wereldstad in de regio, biedt dit gebied alle uitdagingen die op milieugebied denkbaar zijn. DCMR heeft een breed pakket aan taken en functies. We verlenen vergunningen, controleren bedrijven, bewaken de milieukwaliteit en adviseren het gemeentelijke en provinciale bestuur. Een soepele samenwerking is hierbij uiteraard noodzakelijk. Werken bij DCMR is al even uitdagend. Wij zoeken vastberaden naar het ideale evenwicht tussen de ambities van de ruim bedrijven die hier opereren en de 1,3 miljoen mensen die hier leefbaar en veilig willen wonen en werken. Dat is balanceren voor gevorderden. Daarom zoekt de DCMR betrokken specialisten die hun kennis en vaardigheden realistisch willen inzetten en willen groeien tussen professionals. Governmental agency responsible for permitting of industry, inspection, monitoring and policy in the greater Rijnmond area (Rotterdam Port). The agency is established by 12 municipalities and Rotterdam and the province of South-Holland. They have commissioned the larger part of their environmental tasks to DCMR.

Dat zijn chauffeurs, vuilnismannen, medewerkers Milieustraat, straatreinigers en medewerkers groenonderhoud, medewerkers riolering, bestrating en straatmeubilair. Voor u inmiddels bekende gezichten. We hebben ook medewerkers werkzaam op de kinderboerderij en de kindertuinen in Schiedam. En ook mensen die beleid maken, plannen, of u te woord staan bij vragen of meldingen om uw afval beter te scheiden en de stad schoon te houden. We zijn dus best veelzijdig. Betere afvalscheiding, goed werkgeverschap en duurzaam ondernemen is waar we ons druk om maken. We voelen ons verantwoordelijk voor de gemeenschap waarvoor we ons dagelijkse werk doen. Als goed huisvader zorgen wij voor dit ‘buiten’. Dat doen en kunnen we niet alleen. We werken graag samen met inwoners. Bovendien hebben we in de loop der jaren een breed regionaal netwerk opgebouwd en een aantal vaste samenwerkingspartners.
