Our Laothani Group’s history was started way back in 1985, with Mr Somsouk Phimphachanh’s Vision and Passion to elevate Lao people’s living and their economy from Agricultural and Wooden products and crafting skills. In early 1985, company named Phattana Sonnaboth Import-Export Co, Ltd was founded at Nongbone Road, Xaysettha District, Vientiane. Meaning of “Phattana Sonnaboth” is Rural Development, which referred to our founder strong intention to support and elevate rural people’s living. Our company was exported many types of products to Asia and Europe, such as Agriculture products, Rattan and Wooden furniture, and Forest goods. At the same time, our Founder saw the potential to in Lao market and decided to import High quality and brand-new motorcycles, Trucks and Passenger cars, and our company was the very first company to import Brand new vehicles to LAO PDR, and later on become our main business. Until mid of 2004, our founder made the decision to separate our business by renamed to LAOTHANI Agriculture Promotion Trading Co, Ltd, which focused on Agriculture products and machineries, and TOYOTA LAOTHANI Co, Ltd, as TOYOTA official dealer in LAO PDR after more than 18 years of our continuous business with Toyota Motor Thailand (since late 1985). With our Management’s Vision and Team effort, TOYOTA brand became the #1 market share until today. So far, Laothani Group has consistently developed our business to serve Lao customers with high quality and technology products and high standard of service from well-known and leading brands, namely, Toyota Automotive, Hino Truck (Toyota Group), Komatsu Heavy Equipment, Sakai Construction Equipment, Donaldson Filtration, AtlasBX Batteries, La-Z-Boy Furniture, and other Aftermarket parts and lubricants.
