At Futuredesh, we facilitate social capital ventures in Bangladesh's agricultural sector using contract farming methods. Before the twentieth century, poultry were mostly kept on general farms, and foraged for much of their feed, eating insects, grain spilled by cattle and horses, and plants around the farm. This was often supplemented by grain, household scraps, calcium supplements such as oyster shell, and garden waste. We have constructed a Plant Factory with Artificial Light (PFAL) in a square - feet building. We grow different kinds of leafy greens, vegetables and herbs in controlled environment. We are using a 5-layered vertical farm hydroponic agriculture system. Most pests and diseases are soil-borne; however, hydroponics is soilless. The plants are super clean, fresh, healthy, nutritious and preservative free. We can just pluck and eat those crunchy leafy and herbs.
