SMK Pertanian Pembangunan Negeri Lembang Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat di Lembang Yang dulu dikenal dengan sebutan Sekolah Pertanian Menengah Atas (SPMA) pada mulanya, didirikan pada, tanggal 24 September 1964 oleh masyarakat Bandung Utara yang disponsori Ikatan Pemuda Bandung Utara (IPBU), Lembaga Sosial Desa Cidadap dan SPMA Tanjungsari yang diresmikaan dengan Surat Keputusan Gubernur DT.I Jawa Barat No. l12/E-50/Pend/SK/1965 tanggal 26 September 1965, pada saat itu, yang menjadi Gubernur adalah Bapak Mashudi (kini Dr. HC Letjen. Purn. TNI Mashudi). Yang semula berlokasi di jalan Dr. Setiabudhi No. 193 Kotamadya Bandung. Sejak tahun 1998 melalui proses ruislag (tukar guling) oleh Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat kampu SMK PP N Lembang pindah ke Cilumber Lembang. dengan ditandatangani surat kesepakatan bersama antara Menteri Pertanian dan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional tanggal 31 Juli 2008 nomor. Tentang Pembinaan SMK-Pertanian, maka nomenklaturnya menjadi “Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Pertanian Pembangunan Negeri Lembang Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat.
