The current Directors, brother and sister team, Richard and Bernadette Murphy, are the third generation of the Murphy family to be involved in the running of one of southeast Ireland’s leading suppliers of agricultural machinery. Murphy’s Motors was awarded the Fordson tractor franchise in 1960, selling the extemely popular Fordson Dexta and Fordson Major ranges. When Ford rationalised their worldwide tractor operations in the 1960’s, the brand name was changed to Ford and a new range of tractors, the – series was introduced in 1965. Today Murphy’s Motors holds 21 franchises from some of the largest manufacturers in the world, such as New Holland,Abbey Machinery, Sulky Spreader, Farmec Loaders, Rossmore Engineering, Pro-Dig Attachments, Shelbourne Reynolds, Tanco and Alo-Maskiner. The 20 strong team at Murphy’s Motors are very strongly focused on providing industry leading levels of customer service. Aquarium Life Through Science At KoralSea we are committed to cultivating quality Corals and Reef Fish for the expanding aquarium market throughout Europe. Located in the pristine Inagh Valley in the west of Ireland, all of our livestock is sustainably hand-reared in our state-of-the art-hatchery. Marine Aquarium keepers are increasingly conscious of the sustainability of harvesting wild coral and are making more and more ethical decisions on where they purchase their stock. This has created a strong market-led demand for ethically produced specimens of superior quality which are disease resistant, free from parasites and readily settle into new and established aquaria. We work closely with specialist retailers to ensure that clear point of sale information and advice is available, ensuring hobbyists get the most out of KoralSea specimens. Our customers can also follow the technological advances we are making through our web and social media sites. In 2014 we will launch our range of marine aquarium foods and supplements, Koral Sea Komplete, and are working closely with the University in Galway, NUI Galway, to validate the benefits our range will bring to the aquarium keeper and their tanks.
