Originating from a traditional family’s passion and commitment for over 40 years of the swiftlet industry in Malaysia, Kang Sheng Agriculture (KSA) was established in 2012 by Chairman Mr. Richard Eng, the current 3rd generation owner of Double Swallow Sdn Bhd, with his Venture Partners to pursue further on their passion for Swiftlet Farming. KSA is a specialized Swiftlet Farming Developer with its headquarters, affiliate processing, marketing and exporting of quality Edible Bird’s Nests (EBN) licensed companies and affiliate ISO GMP, GVHP, and HACCP certified processing plants in the State of Sarawak, Malaysia and additional business representative office in Singapore. As a leading Swiftlet Farming Developer with its affiliate companies, it also aims to provide the most comprehensive one-stop solution platform to swiftlet investors and traders. In addition, KSA has its affiliate Research and Development (R&D) program to ensure that the quality of its raw processed edible EBN are sustainable and of the highest standard at all times throughout the supply chain – from every harvest out of the swiftlet farming houses to the sales and exporting. KSA is also positioned with RFID readiness through its affiliated network of companies as one of the traceability options for raw EBN sources to manage the latest requirement from China, where the biggest consumption market for bird’s nests is.

Sri Lovely Organic Farm

Welcome to our Organic Rice Farm, 60 km northeast of Alor Setar, in the heartland of a Malay village in Kedah, Malaysia. Established in 2009 by a dedicated military retiree, Captain Zakaria, our project spans over 9.5 hectares of land, embraced by green hills and rich vegetation, offering an idyllic setting for sustainable and organic rice farming. Leveraging the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), our farm practices an innovative approach to rice cultivation and permaculture design course (PDC), allowing us to grow rice all year round. This method, distinct from conventional practices, is pesticide and chemical-free, requires fewer seeds, and significantly reduces water usage, enhancing yield efficiency and environmental sustainability. Since 2014, our farm has been certified organic by both Malaysian and international bodies, marking us as the sole certified organic rice producer in the nation. In our commitment to self-sufficiency and environmental stewardship, we produce our organic fertilizer and naturally effective microbes, ensuring our farming practices remain harmonious with nature. Beyond rice cultivation, our farm serves as a place for eco-education tourism, aspiring to become a holistic learning centre. We welcome educational visits from schools, universities, and international research centres, fostering an environment of knowledge exchange and continuous improvement. Our farm also boasts vibrant vegetable plots and free-ranging goats, contributing to the biodiversity and ecological balance of our farm.
