In these outlets they service over 500 dealers round the country with Snow branded products and service farmers directly at each of the outlets. PIL has a well trained staff force most of whom have over 10 year's experience working in Tanzania. PIL regularly train their clients as well as staff who undertake training with various organizations around the country. Product range includes-* Agro chemicals i.e. pesticides, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides,* Fertilizers both foliar and granular * Farming implements like gumboots, spray pumps, knap sack sprayers and seedling trays. PIL works with a number of commercial farmers round the country as well as dealers. PROJECTS BY PIL IN COLLABORATION WITH SNOW TRADING:* FRANCHISE PROJECT- NOTHERN AND SOUTHERN ARUSHA PIL in collaboration with USAID, set out to set up a franchise model where new start-ups were established to extend product accessibility to be closer to farmers. The franchises were fully trained by PIL and quickly became centers of excellence in their village’s interns of quality of advice and technologies that the farmers in their localities were able to access. A total of over farmers were impacted by the 23 franchises set up in Northern and southern Tanzania with many having grown into stable medium sized operations within a span of just 3 years providing employment to approximately 30 young men 47% of them being women.
