Tiangco, from the coastal town of Navotas, bought a small traditional boat locally known as a “bangka” to catch mackerel, round scad, and herring in the waters of Manila Bay. Reynaldo’s eldest son, Restituto B. Tiangco, spent much of his adolescent life assisting in the family business, literally learning the ropes of operating a fishing enterprise. After marrying in 1966, Restituto decided to set up his own fishing venture so he would have the financial means to support a growing family. Reynaldo fully supported Restituto B. Tiangco, providing him with a loan.

Functional Food Many associate the Japanese as the culture that eats seaweed but the Celts in UK had at least 30% of their diet hundreds of years ago. Seaweed is produced and consumed in many cultures. Irish kelp is grown and processed as quick frozen, fresh spaghetti like product and sold on High Street store. Functional food is food that can be consumed as food, but it also improves health. Many research groups have shown reduction in blood pressure, the silent killer, reversal of obesity and related diseased including reversal of fatty liver, weight loss, reduction in body fat, Plant Biostimulants Seaweed can provide alternatives or complement fertilizer. Extraction of liquid from seaweed includes plant biostimulants and crop yield increases of 30% are common. When used with artificial fertilizer they permit reduction of other fertilizers.
