Goodbye Malaria
Goodbye Malaria - a social benefit organisation – is an African-run initiative with the goal of eliminating malaria, a preventable disease that still kills a child every 2 minutes. Founded by concerned African entrepreneurs including Robbie Brozin (Co-Founder of Nando’s), Goodbye Malaria believes our generation can create innovative solutions that ultimately change the way the world sees Africa. The initiative facilitates public-private partnerships, bringing together the private sector, the governments of Mozambique, Eswatini and South Africa as well as The Global Fund whilst supporting and catalysing on-the-ground malaria elimination programmes. Year on year we have seen the programme expand significantly, with 2022 being no exception; our integrated vector management was conducted in a total of 22 districts in 3 provinces in Southern Mozambique, with an additional 8 mobile surveillance units positioned at eastern border regions of South Africa, protecting the lives of over 4 million people. With renewed focus and commitment, we can be the generation to end one of the oldest and deadliest diseases in human history. Malaria has no right to the lives it claims, and together with our partners, friends and supporters, we will work tirelessly to end malaria for good!

The Children's Hospital Trust
At the Children’s Hospital Trust we believe every child should have access to the highest quality healthcare services they need close to their homes: to feel safe and comforted during times of illness and trauma; to be cared for in a nurturing environment, that is supportive of patient, family and staff wellbeing; and to be cared for by skilled and supported healthcare professionals equipped with the infrastructure and equipment needed to provide optimal care. The Children’s Hospital Trust is an independent non-profit organisation established in 1994. The Trust relies on the benevolence of donors to realise its aims and objectives. 100% of all donations go directly to prioritised paediatric healthcare needs and not a single cent is spent on administration costs. When you donate to the Trust, every cent goes towards funding projects that change children’s lives (and the lives of the people who love them). The operational costs of the Trust are funded from an endowment managed by The Children’s Hospital Foundation, so your generous contributions are never used for administration. Working in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Health, UCT Department of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital (RCWMCH), the Trust has invested over R1 billion since 1994 towards improving public health infrastructure, training specialist paediatric health workers, and supporting the establishment of child public health projects. Core to achieving our vision is upholding our values of Integrity, Accountability, Kindness, Dynamism and Collaboration in every aspect of our work. The Trust enjoys a record of sound financial administration and good governance, but whilst it has raised funds to address many pressing needs, much has yet to be done. With your help we can continue to give hope and healing to our little ones who need it most.

Born To Be Free
Preparing Africa's future for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Born to be Free was founded in July 2016 by 5 students in Cape Town. Our first project began on Mandela Day 2016 where we installed our first computers at West End Primary - a prep school in Mitchells Plain, South Africa. Know for its gang territories, underprivileged and lack of good education - it was a proud moment for us as a group, the school and it was a good start to our NPC. Born To Be Free is an Non-profit organization that looks to promote youth development in South Africa, and as an organization it is driven by the realization that the youth need to work together to achieve sustainable growth in underdeveloped areas in South Africa. The focus is on education and the transfer of skills that will be able to benefit the youth, and South Africa as a country for years to come. Our main objective is to increase computer literacy in areas that are not currently getting these skills in their schools. With the help fundraising we are determined to get computers in as many schools as we can and to improve the skills of the youth of South Africa from an early age. These fundraisers are held throughout the year, with prominent guest speakers from politicians, sportsmen, doctors and educators. We look forward to making a difference for South Africa, alongside you, and many more South Africans.

Downes Murray International
Downes Murray International is South Africa's leading fundraising consultancy. We help non-profit organisations (NPOs) to achieve sustainability through fundraising to individuals. Our solid track record and unrivalled expertise and experience benefits NPOs of every kind. We've learned more than a few fundraising truths over the past few decades! Ask yourself:* Are there fewer corporate donors investing in your cause?* Do you need to fundraise for operational costs like salaries?* Are you worried about surviving any tough times? If you answered 'yes' to all those questions, it's time to devise a strategy for individual giving. It's individuals - not corporates - who account for most charitable giving in South Africa - and the world. Donations from individuals can be used to offset operational costs – and they can help to build reserves for the future. Bequest programmes that DMI helped some of its clients to launch years ago are still raising significant funds. DMI has worked alongside NPOs of almost every kind, including those focused on care for the elderly, conservation, children and youth, people with disability, animal welfare, educational institutions, churches and religious organisations. We offer specialised fundraising and communications services, including strategic planning, digital fundraising, database management, feasibility studies, capital campaigns, individual giving programmes, direct mail, donor communications, telephone fundraising, online giving, stewardship programmes, major gift drives, church stewardship, bequest promotion and cause-related marketing. Velokhaya
The overall purpose of Velokhaya - which takes its name from the French word for cycling (velo) and the Xhosa word for home (khaya)- is to achieve ‘Growth through Cycling’; to give underprivileged children in South Africa the skills and the opportunities they need to make a success of their lives – in other words, to develop as champions, both on and off the bike. We use the sport of cycling as a platform for growing and empowering children living in marginalised communities in South Africa, and we do this by implementing a range of holistic development programs aimed at improving education, developing human potential and teaching valuable life skills. Since 2003, we have witnessed how our cycling-based programs have helped children from one of South Africa’s poorest communities deal with the social and personal challenges they face - and how the programs have inspired these children to use their achievements in cycling (which build self-esteem and confidence) to make a success of their lives. At Velokhaya we give young South Africans – regardless of race, or socio-economic status – an opporunity to become champions and we are immensely grateful to our corporate sponsors and the many individuals who support the work we do. These include Velokhaya’s Patron, the international ‘voice of cycling’, commentator, Phil Liggett (OBE). Visit our website and our facebook page for more details - and get in touch, and show your support!

Words That Count
The team at Words that Count are advisors, independent consultants, and programme managers for organisations in the non-profit and corporate social investment arenas. A few years ago, a chance conversation sparked the idea of taking our unique combination of the knowledge and skills learned in the NGO sector and our combined experience in corporate social investment to offer a new suite of services. This ranges from the development of CSI strategy to the measurement of impact – along with an outsourced implementation process. I believe the secret to our success is the commitment we share to both NGOs and grantmakers – working to achieve impact in the development sector to realise the ideal of a better world.

New Nation Education Npo - The Sponsored Education Solution
NPO #226-529 Our company is focused on the school children of South Africa. For more than 23 years now the schooling system in South Africa has failed the children of our country. The educators are unable to deliver the quality education the children need, because of the lack of funding and resources. Most of the parents can't afford to pay school fees, so their children have to take second best. More than 50% of the school lever each year will never land a job. This is a very dire situation, but there is hope. We help schools raise a sustainable income so that they can be run professionally in every department, from the upkeep and maintenance to security, sports coaching, and equipment, music teachers, and instruments, drama teachers, computer classrooms with IT specialists, libraries with full-time librarians and even performance bonuses for teachers. Although most of the parents are unable to pay school fees, we believe that parents need to play a part in educating their children. By being a part of the SOLUTION we give the parent the opportunity to improve their quality of life as well. Although most of the children leaving school have no hope of landing a decent job, we help the youth with self-development and new skills. This allows them to become upstanding leaders in their communities. Our aim is to uplift the community at the same time we uplift the schools, by doing this everyone feels that they are part of the solution and they have committed to making the school the center of the community. When people know that they are a part of the solution, everything matters and they start to care about their community.

Qhubeka Charity
Qhubeka uses bicycles to move communities forward. We partner with the community, public sector, private sector, and non-profit organisations to develop our programmes, which focus on providing people with bicycles in return for working to improve their community, environment or school attendance. Through your support, Qhubeka uses bicycles to connect families to schools, clinics and job opportunities. Communities with limited transport have restricted options, but bicycles are tools of change. With access to transport comes a connection to opportunities. That’s why Qhubeka’s name is an Nguni word that means “to progress”, “to move forward” – because bicycles help people to travel faster, further, carry more, be fitter and access more options, including healthcare and educational facilities. Bicycles also save people money they would have had to spend on other forms of transport. From keeping children in school to helping whole communities to create new economic opportunities, bicycles are a simple, affordable and sustainable solution to some of Africa’s most pressing social problems. What began as a project to help a few schoolchildren travel to school more easily has evolved into a wider model that aims to provide simple, affordable transport that connects entire communities to schools, clinics and job opportunities. We also believe in empowering people and upholding their dignity. Because of these guiding principles, our programmes are based on a work-to-earn principle. People earn bicycles in return for growing trees, recycling waste, committing to improve their school attendance or their outputs at work, and in various other ways. Whatever they do to earn their bicycles, the result is always the same: a community that is more connected. When you fund a bicycle, you help to: 1. Connect communities to basic services 2. Help learners to access to education 3. Improve health 4. Save families money on transport costs
