HM The King is the charity’s Patron. Regularly receiving over 450 applications per year for its Scholarship, Emerging Maker and Apprenticeship Programmes, QEST awards around 60 individual grants per year, around In 2023, across all its programmes, the charity gave away a total of the largest amount in any one year since its inception. Our aspiration is to increase our giving to £1 million + by 2025/26. The Access To Justice Foundation
Every year across the UK, millions of people will need legal advice to help them with issues like housing, employment, immigration and domestic abuse. But they won’t get the support they need - because they can’t afford it or they don’t know where to turn. The Access to Justice Foundation is the only funder dedicated to increasing free legal support, advice and representation across the UK. We work with other funders and individuals to increase the money available for free legal advice, and we work with community organisations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to ensure people facing a legal problem get the help they need. We’re independent and evidence-based, and we use our unique position to bring people together and influence the wider systems affecting people’s access to justice. By supporting us, you’re ensuring your support goes to communities and people where it’s needed most and helping shape a society where everyone gets a fair chance.

The Giles' Trust Brain Tumour Fund
The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund was born out of a determination to help fund one of the most under-funded areas of cancer research in the UK. In 2006, England cricketer Ashley Giles rushed back from Australia, where he had been part of the Ashes team, to be with his wife, Stine, who had been diagnosed with a brain tumour. She underwent treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), but six years later, another two tumours were found and she became one of the first people in the country to be treated by the TomoTherapy machine. Without this revolutionary piece of equipment, treatment options were limited, but she promised that if her treatment went well and her prognosis was good, she would dedicate herself to raising money to help brain tumour research. The pioneering therapy worked and three years later, in 2015 she and Ashley launched the charity. Brain tumour research remains a central aim of the charity and it also proudly funds other research projects. In 2018, Stine was diagnosed with another tumour that required immediate treatment – and thanks to the world-class experts at QEHB, her outcome was positive. She remains under the care of her team of clinicians, yet continues to focus on fundraising efforts to help them in their research. Since 2015, when The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund was launched, it has raised more than £1 million and it has also successfully lobbied the NHS to fund an additional research nurse at the hospital. The charity continues to grow in strength and has recently invested in Artificial Intelligence, a Surgical Navigational System and a Nexstim Brain Scanner. With your help we can continue to raise vital funds for further research, much-needed equipment and support for brain tumour patients. Please help us to fulfil our vision.

The Learning Skills Trust
Twelve years ago four prep school Heads decided that the route to pupil success in life was not going to be achieved by continuing to prepare children for a set of knowledge based exams to be sat over four days in June. The Pre-Senior Baccalaureate was born. In 2021 a number of senior schools approached PSB, and asked if a skills framework could be developed for Years 9 – 11 to complement the PSB framework for junior and prep schools. The Skills Development Framework was born. Both frameworks are now part of the newly established Learning Skills Trust. Preparatory work was done by a PSB working group that was formed in 2010 with representatives from across the sector. During the 2010-11 academic year the PSB project group framed the principles that underpin the framework currently in place today. The Pilot Group of PSB schools was formed in January 2012. After a successful Pilot year the PSB programme is now in place and operational. In 2018 the PSB officially became a registered charity. In 2022 The Learning Skills Trust was created to incorporate both the PSB and the SDF (the Skills Development Framework, our senior school initiative).
