The Ministry of Fisheries is the government entity responsible for implementing government policy in the fishing sector, which is responsible for: a) Ensure the sustainable exploration and management of fisheries resources, through the promotion of scientific research, the preservation of marine ecosystems and the fight against illegal, undeclared and unregulated fishing; b) Ensure an increase in Sector income and a regular supply of fish to the domestic market, within the framework of the national strategy for poverty reduction and improvement of nutrition; c) Encourage the sustainable development of the fishing sectors (catching, processing and marketing of fish); d) Enhance the Sector's human resources, through the implementation of training, retraining and improvement programs or actions; e) Implement the Strategic Fisheries Development Plan (2015-2020); f) Develop, in areas falling within its competence, cooperation with specialized regional and international institutions and organizations and consolidate existing relationships; g) Supervise and promote economic activities linked to the production, processing and marketing of fishery products; h) Provide, as a competent authority, hygienic and sanitary inspection and quality control services for fishery products and their derivatives; i) Promote and coordinate research actions and scientific knowledge in the waters under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of Guinea-Bissau, with a view to providing adequate data for the operation of marine resource management; j) Grant fishing authorization in waters under national sovereignty and jurisdiction and exercise, in collaboration with the competent bodies, surveillance and control of the activities of fishing fleets; k) Represent the Government, internally and externally, in matters falling within its responsibilities; l) The Ministry of Fisheries exercises technical supervisory powers, in accordance with the legislation in force, over companies, companies and establi

Centre Culturel Franco-Bissau-Guinéen
Le Centre Culturel Franco-Bissau-Guinéen (CCFBG) est un centre binational créé le 5 novembre 1990 par un accord bilatéral entre les deux Gouvernements, français et bissau-guinéen. L’ Ambassadeur de France à Bissau est le Président du Conseil d’Administration. La Guinée-Bissau a fourni le terrain et la France a financé la construction et les équipements. Le CCFBG est un établissement fonctionnel au cœur du centre-ville (Praça Che Guevara). Il est organisé autour d’un grand hall central qui est un espace de rencontres semi-ouvert avec accès wifi et comprend aussi - une salle de spectacles fermée et climatisée de 219 places, unique à Bissau- une salle d’expositions- une médiathèque- différentes salles de cours pour l’enseignement du français (dont une salle polyvalente), au rez-de-chaussée et à l’étage, qui constituent l’Espace Langues. C’est un important lieu de culture à Bissau qui répond aussi et principalement à la demande d’enseignement du français. Il est en effet le canal de la coopération linguistique bilatérale financée par le ministère français des affaires étrangères. L’enseignement du français, outre les inscriptions directes au centre, se fait également à destination des administrations et institutions civiles, des forces armées ("français militaire"), des entreprises (secteur financier et tourisme notamment) comme aussi bien en partenariat avec le système éducatif (DELF scolaire).
