Polish Agency For Audit Oversight
The Polish Agency for Audit Oversight (Polish abbrev. “PANA”) is established by virtue of the Act of 11 May 2017 on statutory auditors, audit firms and public oversight, as amended. The PANA is an independent public oversight body and is composed of the President and the Council as decision-making bodies. The PANA performs public oversight of: • Statutory auditors; • Audit firms; • The Polish Chamber of Statutory Auditors (Polish abbrev. “PIBR”). Minor tasks related to the functioning of the public oversight system have been delegated to the professional body, the PIBR. It mainly concerns registration of statutory auditors (while audit firms will be registered by the PANA as of 1 January 2020) and continuous professional education. The ultimate responsibility for the system falls upon the PANA and the main tasks within the oversight system are executed by the PANA (these concern all audit firms: PIE audit firms and non-PIE audit firms): • Registration of audit firms (as mentioned above); • Inspections of audit firms; • Investigations of audit firms. The PANA started operations as of 1 January 2020, replacing the Audit Oversight Commission (Polish abbrev. “KNA”) which ceased to exist on 31 December 2019 and assumed all the rights and obligations of the Commission.

The National Centre For Emissions Management Kobize
According to the Act on the management of emissions of greenhouse gases and other substances the National Centre for Emissions Management (KOBiZE) operates within the structure of the Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute in Warsaw. KOBiZE was created to carry out commitments resulting from the EU Directives and from the participation in the European Union Emission Trading System (EU ETS). According to the Polish law KOBiZE is supervised by the Minister of the Environment. One of the basic obligations of KOBiZE is to manage and administer the Polish part of the EU ETS in Poland, including operation of Polish part of the Union Registry. KOBiZE operates the National Database, where data on emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) and other substances is collected. The Database is a constantly improved tool offering unique information on emission sources, their spatial location and detailed data on operation of every installation covered by the reporting system. It also enables acquiring precise information based on real data, which is submitted by the entities in the process of annual reporting. Due to international and national obligations concerning reporting, one of the important fields of KOBiZE’s activity is the annual preparation of the national emission inventories of greenhouse gases and other substances. KOBiZE elaborates analyses, reports and emission data sheets for the State and local governmental administration, as well as for other interested entities.

Bierne prawo wyborcze w wyborach do Sejmu RP uzyskuje się w wieku 21 lat. Sejm obraduje ciągle, pod przewodnictwem marszałka. Jego obrady są jawne. Posiedzenia Sejmu odbywają się zazwyczaj co drugi lub co trzeci tydzień (tzw. tydzień sejmowy). Dłuższe przerwy zdarzają się w okresie wakacyjnym oraz świąteczno-noworocznym, a także pomiędzy ostatnim posiedzeniem Sejmu poprzedniej kadencji i pierwszym posiedzeniem nowej kadencji. Urzędem wspierającym Sejm i jego organy w zakresie prawnym, organizacyjnym, finansowym i technicznym jest Kancelaria Sejmu. Office For Competition And Consumer Protection
The President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) is a central authority of the state administration. The President of the Office is responsible for shaping the antitrust policy and consumer protection policy. The primary antitrust instrument used by the President of the Office are proceedings concerning competition restricting practices, i.e. abuses of a dominant position and prohibited agreements (cartels). The President of the Office is also authorised to control mergers in order to prevent situations where as a result of a merger a dominant entity is created on the market. Since 2004 the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has been providing its opinion on state aid schemes and individual state aid decisions before their notification to the European Commission. The President of the Office has also the power to carry out proceedings concerning practices infringing collective consumer interests. UOKiK carries out proceedings concerning general product safety. They may end in a decision ordering the enterprise involved to withdraw a dangerous product from the market. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection is also responsible for managing the fuel quality monitoring and scrutinising system.
