Free Economic Zone Kulob
State Institution Free economic zone " Kulob" was created by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan from March 1, 2019, № 97 on a total area of 309 hectares as a separate (limited) zone with a special system of given industrial and innovative land use in Kulob city of the Khatlon region. Its main purpose is to create new industrial enterprises with modern production technologies, attract additional domestic and foreign investment in the country's economy, provide the population with new jobs, and on this basis, improve living standards to implement the strategic goals of the country, especially the rapid industrialization of the country. This zone is located 14 km north of the center of Kulob city, 1.5 km from the northern part of the International Airport "Kulob" and 18 km from the railway station "Kulob". The distance from FEZ " Kulob" to the regional road Vose-Khovaling is 7 km, to the international road Dushanbe-Kulob-Kalai-Khumb is 14 km, and to Dushanbe city is 220 km. The legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan provides a number of tax and customs benefits for domestic and foreign investors to operate in the Free economic zone. In particular, entrepreneurial activity on the territory of free economic zones regardless of the form of ownership shall be exempt from any taxes stipulated by the Tax Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, except for social tax and tax on personal income.
