School Of Economics And Business Sarajevo
The School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo has the longest tradition and is the largest of any educational institution in the region. Its main goal is to adopt and apply all current trends in business, economics and education to adapt to this rapidly changing, competitive environment. The School was established in 1952 as the Faculty of Economics. Its first class consisted of 105 full-time and 129 part-time students. As of 2007, 13.921 students of the four-year program, 541 students of the three-year program and 3.112 students of the two-year program have graduated from the School. The Master’s Degree was acquired by 478 applicants, while 178 doctoral dissertations have been defended. Of particular significance is the continuity of School operations throughout the past 55 years. Even in the conditions of heaviest shelling and warfare during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992-1995, teaching activities did not cease, owing to the enthusiasm and dedication of employees and students. The School managed to keep the majority of its faculty members even during the most difficult periods of its history. Endeavoring to make the curriculum and syllabus as modern as possible, as well as to intensify steps towards the internationalization and international recognition of its degrees, the School was the first in Bosnia-Herzegovina to adopt and implement (during the 2001/2002 academic year) a curriculum based on the European Credits Transfer System – ECTS. An appreciable level of cooperation has been achieved with elite schools of economics both in Europe and around the world, providing students with a wider array of choices, and allowing their own independent influence on the development of the programs in which they participate, as well as their studies at partner institutions. The second step in implementing the ECTS-based concept of study at the School started in 2005 with the introduction of the “3+2” system.

Faculty Of Mechanical Engineering Banja Luka
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was established out of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering section in the University of Sarajevo which started out in 1971/72. Classes consisted of two departments – the Department of Production and the Department of Construction. At the beginning of 1975, a decision was brought that this department should be seperated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo and that a Faculty of Mechanical Engineeing should be established as a part of the University of Banja Luka. From 1979 and onwards, two departments are active on this faculty – the Department of Production and the Department of Energy drive. During the school year of 1990/91 two more departments were introduced – the Department of Productional Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Thermal Technology and Motorizing, and during the school year of the Department of Work Safety was established. During the school year of 2006/07, a new organizing of studies was carried out. All study programs were organized according to a tetriary study model (3+ 2+ 3). On each of the study programs, the classes are held as a part of primary and secondary study cycle.

Faculty of Political Science, University of Banja Luka, was established in 2009 as a spin-four study programs Faculty of Philosophy, namely: political science, sociology, social work and journalism who were licensed as a three-year courses of 180 ECTS. First elected dean prof. Dr. Nenad Kecmanović used his vast experience deans and rectors and quickly start the process of re-licensing of study programs, from which emerged four-year study of 240 ECTS named: political science, journalism and communication studies, sociology and social work. In the academic year 2011/2012. year we launched a master's degree in four directions: politicological studies, international studies, communication studies and social work. With a total enrollment of 150 students in the second cycle and with over 1,300 students in the first year of undergraduate studies, Faculty of Political Science has become an important educational institutions in the Republic of Serbian and beyond. F The Faculty of Political Science and started a journal for social issues " Politeia " as the first of its kind in the Republic of Serbian, and an electronic version can be read on our website. K ao evidence that the Faculty of Political Sciences follows the trends established in the Diplomatic Academy - a professional course for 3 months where the principle of lifelong learning training participants for professional activities in the field of diplomatic practice, thus FPN recognized the needs of the Republic of Serbian as evidenced by the huge interest both participants and the public. Faculty of Political Science and will continue in the coming period with the work of the Diplomatic Academy, and the plan is to launch another professional course entitled Political Academy.
