Valley View University
Valley View University was established in 1979 by the West African Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists (now Ghana Union Conference). In 1997 it was absorbed into the Adventist University system operated by the Africa-Indian Ocean Division (WAD) of Seventh-day Adventist with headquarters in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. The University was initially called the Adventist Missionary College and was located at Bekwai-Ashanti. The Adventist Accrediting Association has, since 1983, been evaluating and reviewing the accreditation status of the institution. In 1995, the university was affiliated to Griggs University in Silver Springs, Maryland, USA. This allowed the university to offer four year bachelors degrees in Theology and Religious Studies. The National Accreditation Board (Ghana) granted it national accreditation in 1997 thus allowing the university to award her own degrees. Thus, Valley View University became the first private institution in Ghana to be granted national accreditation.

Graduate Students' Association Of Ghana, Knust
The Graduate Students' Association of Ghana had its humble beginnings in 1993, starting with fewer than a hundred (100) members. In that very year, GRASAG KNUST emerged as a local branch, officially representing the entire graduate student body of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Over the years, our membership has grown substantially, now boasting over six thousand students. GRASAG KNUST encompasses various groups, including individuals, institutions, and organizations recognized under the university's statutes, all engaged in postgraduate pursuits. As the official student government association for postgraduate students at KNUST, the Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG) plays a pivotal role. Rooted in the principles of democracy and leadership, inspired by the original ideals of John Dewey, GRASAG serves as a representative structure exclusively for postgraduate students. Through this platform, students actively participate in university affairs, collaborating with university authorities for the mutual benefit of the institution and its students. GRASAG has consistently been a staunch advocate, safeguarding the rights and interests of all postgraduate students at the university. Simultaneously, it has played a crucial role in enhancing student privileges. The association is actively involved in major decision-making bodies, such as the university council and academic board, where the GRASAG president holds a significant representation. Our core function revolves around representing, promoting, and championing the rights, interests, and perspectives of postgraduate students in all matters, ensuring their overall well-being. In essence, we are here for you, dedicated to your welfare.
