Pui Ching Middle School Pcms
Pui Ching Middle School (Chinese:) is a Baptist secondary school in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Founded in 1889, it currently has sister schools in Macau and Guangzhou. The Hong Kong branch was established in 1933 in Ho Man Tin. Initially, only primary school education was offered; a junior high school division using Chinese as medium of instruction was established in 1938, a senior high division was established in 1940. The school was suspended during Japanese occupation of Hong Kong during World War II. Students and staff went to Macau and mainland China. In 1945, the school moved back to a temporary site in Kowloon Tong and in 1946, the school move back to Ho Man Tin. In 1950, the school was renamed from a Hong Kong branch of the Canton school to the present name. In 1952, a new extension on the land donated by Hong Kong Government was built and complete in September, 1953. The premises is located at Pui Ching Road which was named after the school.

Department Of Computer Science And Engineering, The Hong Kong University Of Science And Technology
Founded in 1991, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has over 50 faculty members, teaching about 850 undergraduate students and 370 postgraduate research students, and numerous research and support staff. It is among the largest computer science departments in Hong Kong. Our faculty members have teaching and research experience in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data, Knowledge and Information Management, Human Computer Interaction, Networking and Computer Systems, Software Engineering and Programming Languages, Theoretical Computer Science, and Vision and Graphics. Our faculty members earned their PhD degrees from renowned universities all over the world, and are highly regarded by peers in their fields for their research. The department was ranked 26th among all computer science and engineering departments worldwide according to QS World University Rankings (2019), and 28th according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2019). The Department of Computer Science was established in 1984, and has evolved from a teaching-oriented department into one that excels in both teaching and research. The Department launched its first BSc in Computer Studies in 1987 (renamed and restructured as the BSc Computer Science in followed by the MSc in Computer Science in 1991. The Department also produced its first PhD graduate in 1994. In addition to offering traditional courses such as foundations of computer science, computer architecture and software engineering, our curriculum exposes students to the latest advances in cloud computing, machine learning, and bioinformatics. Students have the opportunity to undertake a major design and development project in areas such as electronic commerce, virtual reality, multimedia, computer vision, cloud computing, and information security. All teaching within the Department is subject to stringent quality assurance procedures. The Department maintains state-of-the-art computing facilities, including a private cloud infrastructure for teaching activities support and a high-throughput computing cluster for computationally intensive tasks involved in various research activities. The Department's research foci include bioinformatics, cloud computing, data science, evolutionary computation and metaheuristic, information security, machine learning, mobile computing, multimedia computing, software engineering, vision and graphics.
