It is owned by the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), the foremost applied research center in Jordan. Like RSS, PSUT is part of El Hassan Science City located in Amman, Jordan. Yarmouk University (Arabic: جامعة اليرموك), also abbreviated YU is a public university, a comprehensive and state-supported university located near the city center of Irbid in northern Jordan. Since its establishment in 1976, Yarmouk University (YU) is considered today as one of the Jordanian, Arab world and the Middle East leading universities in teaching and research. The University consists of 15 faculties offering 52 bachelor's degree, 64 master's degree, and 18 Ph.D. Programs in different disciplines. The university also hosts 12 research and career centers. Today Yarmouk University (YU) has more than 1,004 full-time faculty members and 1,597 staff, with 34,651 students in all academic programs (31,282 Undergraduate, 2,807 Postgraduate and 562 Doctoral). Yarmouk University (YU) comprises more than international students of 50 nationalities, rendering it one of the most culturally diverse universities in Jordan. The University provides a wide range of advanced degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, many of them are not offered by any other Jordanian university. At the present time, There are fifteen faculties in the Yarmouk University that offer doctoral, graduate and undergraduate degrees, the medium of lectures, exams, and tuition depends on the faculty, scientific faculties mainly English while other faculties are mainly Arabic, while Arabic is the main communication language in the university. The German Jordanian University (GJU) is a public university located in Al-Mushaqqar, Naour, on the Amman-Madaba Western Highway. It is a public university with academic distinction in teaching, research and community service. The university is oriented to the German Fachhochschule model (University of Applied Sciences) in teaching its undergraduate and graduate programs. GJU focuses on providing applied study programs of highest quality. It offers 17 undergraduate programs and six postgraduate (Masters) programs, with a student body of over students: 15% of which are foreign students and the remaining majority from across Jordan. Many of our programs are unique to the Middle East and Gulf regions such as; Logistics Sciences, Water and Environmental Engineering, Chemical-Pharmaceutical Engineering, Business Informatics, and more. All GJU students are given a 1:1 mix of theoretical and practical training, which positions them as highly skilled, and sought-after graduates upon completion of their studies. Our students spend their fourth year studying at one of our 90+ partner universities in Europe, and completing a 6 month internship with one of our European industry partners. Upon graduation, all students are fluent in English, German and Arabic, and possess the practical skills necessary to assume decent positions.
