Almaty Management University Almau

Suleyman Demirel University (SDU) is one of the first private higher education institutions in Kazakhstan. It is situated in the mountainous town of Kaskelen, 20km from Almaty city center. The University was founded in 1996 and opened by the president of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev. Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University
Today the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University is the first higher educational institution in the country with 90-year history. This place of education is unique in the history of the Kazakh people. Since its formation, the university has been a leader in the development of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of training qualified specialists for all spheres of society. The opening of the Kazakh State University was officially held on October, 1928 by the decision of the Council of People`s Commissars of the Kazakh ASSR March 23 of the same year. Primarily, establishment of three faculties: pedagogical, agricultural and medical was supposed. However, it was decided to develop the newly established higher educational institution as an independent pedagogical institute for further intensive development of national education. That time it had the only faculty with three departments: physics and mathematics, natural science and linguistic-pedagogical. Therefore the University was renamed the Kazakh State Pedagogical University in 1930 and the name of great Abai was awarded to it in 1935.

Kazakh National Women S Teacher Training University
Казахский государственный женский педагогический институт основан 15 августа 1944 года. Основанием для его открытия стало постановление Совета Народных Комиссаров Казахской ССР № 457 «О подготовке квалифицированных педагогических кадров из числа казахской женской молодёжи». Первоначально в его составе было создано три факультета: физико-математический, исторический, языка и литературы. В 1945 году открылся естественно-географический факультет, в 1968 — факультет музыки и песни. В 1971 году факультет языка и литературы был преобразован в филологический, а исторический факультет — в историко-педагогический. В 1984 году историко-педагогический факультет был разделён на исторический факультет и факультет дошкольного воспитания. После 1954 года несколько раз поднимался вопрос о закрытии института, поскольку он якобы выполнил своё предназначение, однако власти КазССР решили сохранить вуз. В году в составе института появились историко-филологический и экономический факультеты, а также факультеты естествознания и сервиса образования. C 2003 года в университете выходит собственная газета под названием «Актоты». С 2004 года в рамках Государственной программы развития образования на 2005—2010 годы в институте внедрена оригинальная система менеджмента качества и начинается переход к кредитной системе обучения, а также к двухступенчатой системе подготовки «бакалавриат — магистратура». В рейтинге Национального аккредитационного центра при Министерстве образования и науки Республики Казахстан университет с 2006 года занимает второе место среди педагогических учебных заведений. Указом Президента Республики Казахстан № 805 от 25 декабря 2018 года Казахскому государственному женскому педагогическому университету присвоен статус Национального.
