Lithuanian Vegetable Producers Association
Lithuanian Vegetable Producers Association (LVPA) is a non- profit organization uniting potato and vegetable producers, marketing cooperative companies of producers and input suppliers and coordinating their activities. Its members (127) cultivate potatoes on a total of 2 ha, vegetables – 2200 ha, split between beetroot, carrots, brassicas, onion and other vegetables, and greenhouse vegetables – 40 ha. The members produce up to of potatoes, of field vegetables and of greenhouse vegetables. Among other activities the association co-operates with Lithuanian and foreign partners on economic and technological issues, assists its members to improve professional qualification, instil scientific recommendations in production and extend practical experience by organizing seminars and other events.
