Afriflora
The rose farm Afrilora - Sher is located next to Lake Ziway, at a height of 1650 meter above sea level and approximately 3 hours’ drive from the capital, Addis Ababa. Besides the farm in Ziway, “Sher roses” are also cultivated at 2 other locations: Koka farm, which is an hour’s drive from Ziway, and a farm in the village of Adami Tulu, which is near to Ziway. The total area of these greenhouse complexes is some 500 hectares. More than 65 different types of roses are grown at Sher Ethiopia. Large and small-flowered roses and spray roses in many different colors. Cuttings, plants, harvesting, processing, packing, transport, all work is carried out by local employees. For the processing of the roses, special processing halls have been built, connected to the 38 greenhouses, where every day about 3 to 4 million roses are processed. The roses are processed into ready-made bunches, depending on the wishes of the customer, to reduce the costs for the customer.

BKD is de enige keuringsdienst van bloembollen in Nederland. Wij verrichten kwaliteitskeuringen, import- en exportinspecties in opdracht van de Nederlandse Voedsel en Waren Autoriteit (NVWA) en laboratoriumonderzoek. BKD ondersteunt de markttoegang door het keuren van bloembollen. Dit doen wij op een toonaangevend kwaliteitsniveau. BKD geeft (inter-) nationaal waarborgen voor de kwaliteit van bloembollen. BKD keurt op onafhankelijke, betrouwbare en efficiënte manier. Hiervoor heeft BKD integer vakmanschap nodig van specialisten en talenten. BKD is een zelfstandig bestuursorgaan. Nolina is een hecht familiebedrijf dat in 1966 met liefde voor het vak is opgericht in Woubrugge (Nederland, provincie Zuid-Holland) door de gebroeders De Lange. Tegenwoordig wordt het bedrijf opnieuw geleid door twee broers: Marcel en Steef de Lange. De eerst geteelde producten waren anjers en in 1975 is Nolina overgegaan op de teelt van (bloeiende) potplanten voor binnen- en buitenshuis. In 1990 zijn we voor het eerste begonnen met het telen van potrozen en in 1994 met tuinrozen. De Nolina kwekerij is sinds 1990 sterk gegroeid van 1 - tot 20 hectare oppervlakte, waarvan 9 hectare onder glas. Oostland Company is gespecialiseerd in de teelt en handel van paprika’s. Het bedrijf teelt op meerdere locaties in regio Oostland zowel rode, groene als gele paprika’s en kan tevens oranje paprika’s leveren. Teun, Eléonore en Lennert Hendriks vormen als vierde generatie de directie van het familiebedrijf. Het bedrijf beschikt over meerdere teeltlocaties, die elk hun eigen locatiemanager hebben. Zij krijgen de vrijheid om hun vestiging naar eigen inzicht te organiseren, uiteraard in lijn met de algehele bedrijfsfilosofie. Alle locaties samen vormen een eenheid. Oostland Company bestaat uit een vaste kern van medewerkers. Afhankelijk van het seizoen en de drukte worden aanvullend uitzendkrachten ingehuurd. Onderscheid tussen vaste medewerkers en uitzendkrachten wordt niet gemaakt, iedereen binnen de organisatie is even waardevol. Op elke locatie wordt met een eigen team gewerkt, dat ook eigen verantwoordelijkheden heeft. Iedereen binnen het team speelt daarin een belangrijke rol. Oostland Company sorteert alle paprika’s zelf op de hoofdvestiging in Berkel en Rodenrijs, vervolgens worden deze eveneens op het eigen bedrijf verpakt. Dit kan in iedere gewenste verpakking en op maat worden verzorgd. Door de verkoop in eigen hand te houden, kan voor iedere klant maatwerk worden geleverd. De directe contacten met afnemers zorgen er bovendien voor dat de paprika’s elke dag gegarandeerd snel en vers kunnen worden geleverd. De ideale ligging nabij de snelwegen A4, A12 en A20 vormt een belangrijke logistieke meerwaarde om de producten snel op plaats van bestemming te krijgen.
