From our original roots as a predominantly retail focused stone fruit and grape supplier to the UK multiples, the company has continued to expand and diversify into supplying other sectors of the industry namely Wholesale, Catering and Foodservice. In December 2006 we opened our Spanish subsidiary office, DG Imports SL. This widened the company´s portfolio with an effective direct-supply based salad & vegetable business to complement its core fruit lines. This achieved greater economies of scale in both its buying power and logistical approach. The move has strengthened both our customer and grower relationships and provided a clearer understanding of their changing requirements while at the same time developing a more cost effective and efficient direct source of supply. In 2009 we began growing as well as importing from our own farms in southern Spain.
