The E-Trade and Startup Association of Uganda Ltd is the first body to converge players and stakeholders in the e-commerce space in Uganda. The association aims to coordinate and propel the growth of the e-commerce space through advocacy, public education, and collaboration with multi sectoral stakeholders to address the challenges and harness the opportunities that are presented at this pivotal time in history, especially as we move into a more sustainable post-covid nation that aims to “leave no one behind.” Growing Digital Business Together. ABOUT The association aims to work with different stakeholders and partners to ensure that the e-commerce space can make a meaningful and sustainable contribution to the economy of Uganda as we aim to achieve middle-income status. The association aims to work with different e-trade businesses to encourage innovation that will not only help these businesses but the public sector and other organizations involved in essential services to be able to achieve last-mile delivery of goods and services. COLLABORATION: To be a platform designed to facilitate collaboration between all market participants and stakeholders in the E-commerce ecosystem. It is designed to be an effective platform for members to engage with multiple stakeholders to find solutions to issues and promote the best practices in a collaborative, open, and transparent manner. CONNECT: To represent the E-Trade industry, uphold the integrity of its members, support the building of relationships within the E-commerce community, and collaborate with regional and as well as international organizations. CO-CREATE: To educate, inform, and communicate by developing a connected E-Trade ecosystem, channeling effective and relevant information among members and externally; foster innovation among Association members and the Uganda E-Trade ecosystem; accelerate the development of E-commerce companies operating in or entering Uganda, and their subsequent integration.
