SiO er studentenes egen velferdsorganisasjon, styrt av og for studentene. Studentsamskipnaden SiO jobber for å skape en bedre hverdag for omkring 70 studenter ved 27 læresteder i Oslo og Akershus. SiO eier og driver nærmere studentboliger, ca. 40 spisesteder, 600 barnehageplasser, et karrieresenter sammen med UiO, helse- og rådgivningstilbud og seks treningssentre. SiO Foreninger jobber med tilrettelegging av studentaktiviteter. SiO Bolig SiO har ca. studentboliger fordelt på 25 forskjellige studentbyer og –hus. En del av boligene ligger i Oslo sentrum, noen ligger ved marka og andre ligger nær studiestedene. Alle våre boliger ligger nær offentlig kommunikasjon, og du kommer deg til sentrum på minimum 15 minutter. SiO Mat og Drikke Våre 40 kafeer, kaffebarer og restauranter har til sammen over 7 sitteplasser og tilbyr studenter og ansatte et stort utvalg av mat og drikke i trivelige omgivelser. SiO Barnehage Vi eier og driver 10 barnehager, og gir tilbud til ca. 600 barn i alderen 8 mnd. til 6 år. Barnehagene våre ligger på Kringsjå, Sogn, Blindern, Bislett og i sentrum. Barnehagene er lett tilgjengelige fra studentbyene, studiestedene og offentlig kommunikasjon. SiO Athletica SiO Athletica legger forholdene til rette for at du skal ha et bra treningstilbud under studietiden til en studentvennlig pris. Vårt formål er å gi studentene ved SiOs medlemsinstitusjoner et studenttilpasset treningstilbud som gir overskudd og energi til studiene. SiO Athletica tilbyr også medlemskap til ikke-studenter. Vi brenner for å gjøre bilturen bedre, smartere og tryggere. I Safedrive tilbyr vi mer enn bare en trafikkalarm. Vi er stolte av å være Norges største felleskap langs veien, dedikert til å gjøre bilturen bedre og tryggere for alle. Gjennom vår varslingsenhet kan bilister passe på hverandre ved å enkelt dele informasjon om mulige farer de møter på sin egen kjøretur, enten det er dyr, eller andre hindringer. Vi vet at noen kan være skeptiske til oss fordi vi også varsler kontroller og fotobokser. Det er nok fordi noen tror at slike varsler gjør det «tryggere» å kjøre over fartsgrensen. Men vår erfaring er det motsatte. Hvert år sender vi ut over varsler, hvorav dyr og hindringer utgjør over 80 prosent. Dette bidrar til å redusere hastigheten generelt, ikke bare i nærheten av fartskontroller, og våre brukerundersøkelser bekrefter at flertallet som bruker Safedrive blir mer bevisst på egen fart. Nesten 70 prosent av våre kunder sier samtidig at de føler større trygghet og kontroll i trafikken med Safedrive montert i bilen. Høy fart er en av hovedårsakene til alvorlige trafikkulykker, og det er en ubestridelig sannhet som vi alle er enige om å gjøre noe med.
