Armenian Motor Insurers' Bureau Ule
Armenian Motor Insurers’ Bureau (AMIB) is a self-regulatory organization and registered by Central Bank of Armenia. AMIB was established in 2010 and its role was and is to enter into agreements with the Government as to how compensation claims from people who have been involved in accidents which were caused by uninsured or untraced drivers may be compensated. BACKGROUND Under the Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance Ordinance, all vehicles must be insured against claims for third party bodily injuries arising out of an accident involving the use of the vehicle on a road. The principal objective of the Bureau is to secure the satisfaction of claims in respect of liability for property, death or bodily injury which arises from the use of motor vehicles on the road, when the use of the vehicle is required to be covered by the CMTPLI Ordinance.
